But what on earth could she mean? Feminism has never been opposed to men or families. Haven't you read the dictionary? Piff /s

Western society is doomed with the current gender roles. Concentrating all of societies resources just on females has caused the collapse.

No one seems to be worried that so many boys are brought up without fathers to often end up in prison. There are so many women leaving University and taking high paying jobs. Women aged 20 to 30 earn much more than men. That is fine but I doubt they will give them up to have children or marry a guy just out of prison with no job. Feminists will say that is good that women take high paying jobs but boys were discriminated against in education in the home in society so it is no wonder that they are under achieving.

I have not seen many women come up with good products or ideas in Industry, software science etc or start fortune 500 companies. It is time for women in business to put up and prove that it was worth societies time and money to educate them.

Like all issues, it's going to be ignored until it can't be ignored anymore. Until then, get ready for other issues to get attention. Issues like the lack of men marrying women, the lack of "good" men, the amount of boys not measuring up, the crippling debt college grads (read women) suffer from, etc.

I have thought about this for many years. Democracy will ensure that what needs to be done will NOT be done. Politicians get elected for short terms and have to appeal to the electorate. Policies that would need to enacted would not be vote winners, there is no turning back.

The West has had its best years. In the UK for example family income is still at 2004 levels. There are many reasons for this but big contributors are the change in the makeup of the family, feminism and the contracting male workforce.

I though that was going to be Tony Abbott, the master troll. He knows that stirring up feminists makes him look sane in comparison.

A female Labour MP in the UK? That's interesting.

Also, 2013 ...

I was right there with you but a picture of a black woman threw me off.

its a shame its uttered from Diane Abbot she is a fucking idiot and racist, i wish it was uttered from someone more respectable.

This is a bridge to far. The collapse of the family can not be entirely laid at the feet of feminism. Though feminism has earned its share of the blame.

Can you expand on your thinking?

The break down of the US family has many causes besides just feminism. Programs pushed by social conservatives has contributed as well by not keeping pace with the changes in society. Other liberal social programs not linked to feminism have also been stressors on the US family collapse. Still one of the biggest pressures on a US family is economic pressure which often independent of the political left and political right. The real problem is many social programs on the left and right respond once the family has collapsed or is on the brink of collapse, there is not much out there in the way of programs public or private to strengthen a family while it is strong and well functioning. To prepare or ready families for tough times.

"We need to blame this on patriarchy."
