This is beautiful and I completely agree. Being a man is about integrity and truth. 'Real man' is a label that other people to try to use to gain control. They try shame and they try contempt but its just noise. A man is a male being and that is enough. He cannot be less or more a man and he has no need to.

How about we drop "real man" as an ideal entirely? This article seems to ascribe a different set of gender attributes for a man to uphold.

You’re not a man unless you like fast cars and big explosions. You’re not a man unless you’ve got a beard. Not just a little peach fuzz. A full grown-lumberjack beard. You’re not a man unless you drive a truck. A truck that can drive over any car in your path. You’re not a man unless you like grilling, guns and beer. And you better not cry.

No I don’t have a beard. I’d like to think I could grow one but that wouldn’t change my life. That doesn’t change who I am. That doesn’t change how I act whether it’s in front of others or myself. A fast car wouldn’t do that either. Nor a truck. Those ‘manly’ possessions would display something that I don’t have, a falsehood created to show an ideal that I don’t hold. An ideal that appears to be the opposite of a true man.

Am I not a man?

This is hilariously tragic "i am a man and i dont care what anyone says otherwise........so here is a long insecure rant about how much i dont care" lol

Im sure it appeals everywhere to fragile men that they are just as "Manly" and genetically that is true, but you try commanding or leading men when everyone views you as an emotionally fragile wuss.

of course you can be however you wish to be, but people will not respect nor obey you and will try to push you (game you) if they think you are considerably weaker then they. be in business, be in social be it crime. in all areas where competion exists being a fragile man like this is just preparing for failure.

being a tough capable and stoic man grants you certain natural authority and legitimacy in leadership. being fragile over emotional sensitive snowflake means people will do the opposite.

you can hate it as much as you like but its true. and you know it.
