The Mens Rights movement is not against Mad Max.

For true ELI5: See kid, there is this group of people, who like to call themselves journalists, who do not understand a single thing about research, so when a site for men, who has previously detested The Mens Rights Movement as losers, went out and said Mad Max was a horrible film, due to the websites degrading view on women, these so-called journalists decided to describe the website in question as representative of the Mens Rights Movement, despite the site in question not be liked by the MRM nor the site liking the MRM.

It is sort of like when a bully throws a stone at another kid in kindergarden and someone tells the teacher, but accidentially give the teacher the wrong name and a kid, who had nothing to do with throwing the stone, gets the blame, thats how it is

The men's rights movement is composed of a large assortment of individuals and groups. Some of which are vague, undefined and often shifting. Basically, nothing prevents random whack-jobs from claiming to be MRA's, especially on the internet. Even if a random whack-job does not claim to be a MRA, (as in this case with ROK and the Mad Max movie), the press is lazy and might just slap that label on anyway if it fits their narrative.

The men's rights movement is in early stages. It has not grown powerful enough to stake out territory and firmly expel wannabe whack-jobs. That's pretty much the deal.

I think it should be boycotted due to the involvement of child-rape apologist Eve Ensler. Pretty much nobody agrees with me though. As for the call for a boycott over its feminism, this comes from some jackass who hasn't even seen the movie and who admits he is not an MRA. Once again, the media has lied to you.
