An entire article dedicated to demonstrating why I don't need to care what women think.

[–]xNOM 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They’re germ traps

According to consultant trichologist Carol Walker from the Birmingham Trichology Centre, coarse facial hair traps germs and food, with things like dairy products going rancid.

Men with beards also tend to touch them a lot, transferring dirt and grease from their hands to their mouths – and all this gets spread when they kiss, Walker told the Mail Online.

Um the same thing happens if you don't wash your face, you retard. Also, the female obsession with germs is also the reason everyone in America is allergic to everything and has asthma.

They’re scratchy

While some men like to stroke them when they reach the “soft phase” (whatever that is), from my personal experience, there’s nothing soft about them. The only time my other half grew a proper one, I came out in a rash on my chin. In the name of good relationships, it’s advisable to use your razor regularly gents.

They’re not sexy

Every single male celebrity (perhaps with the one exception of “he who can do no wrong” George Clooney) who has ever grown a full beard – not just designer stubble, which IS sexy – has looked better without it. End of.

Hint for any man wanting pussy: listen to what women say they want in a man, and then do the exact opposite.

[–]chocoboat 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

OK ladies, it’s time to make friends with your razors again – underarm hair, leg hair, and pubic hair have gotta go.

You don't want germs in your pubes, right? And people make fun of hairy women, you certainly don't want that.

The hair could be itchy! And nobody finds a hairy woman attractive.

Going unshaven makes you look a dirty hippie from decades ago. And it's not like refusing to shave puts you more in tune with nature or anything magical like that.

So ladies, it's not your body and not your choice! Conform to my personal preferences or something is wrong with you!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The Feminist Student Union at my school just held some weird "Autonomy over hair" event where they didn't shave, some of those girls have more underarm hair than any man I've seen.

They attack how we sit, how we pee and now they attack our faces too. Just more misandry.

[–]Millenia0 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Almost all her articles ends in a questionmark, shes probably just writing stuff she comes up with.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Some people don't like beards, I can't go more than a week without shaving, it's too irritating.

I don't like a hairy crotch on a woman for many of the same reasons she doesn't like beards. I'm allowed to say that, women can judge me how they please. Some agree, some don't, life goes on.

[–]rbrockway[S] 9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Taken on its own this article doesn't mean much. Problem is when you look at the bigger picture you see constant sniping at masculinity, men and men's experiences. As I noted in my other post, there have been recent attacks on how men sit and how men pee.

Just more misandry.

[–]Sanguifer 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The "how men pee" is not a recent attack; it's an attack as old as the toilet, and it is a legitimate criticism if You're the one having to clean said toilet.

I've experienced the difference first-hand living in various student housings. The ones where people were nagged into sitting while peeing were decidedly easier to clean. No matter how good Your aim is and eve if the stream never randomly splits or sprays, You always get a urine fog spraying around, and it does accumulate over time.

Some criticisms are legitimate.

[–]rbrockway[S] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

They've used a variety of approaches to discredit peeing standing up, including claims that men don't properly empty their bladders when standing to pee (always looking out for men, those feminists).

Attacks include attempts to get urinals excluded from public buildings and universities, among other places.

Some women in Sweden apparently refuse to go out with men who stand to pee. They claim it is patriarchal apparently.

Just more misandry.

[–]Sanguifer 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Funny that, I heard the exact opposite - i.e, You're likely to retain some residue urine when You sit down. Seems more likely too me.

Swedish stunts aside, though - for normal, everyday home toilet use, sitting down to pee is entirely reasonable. The aforementioned benefit of catching the urine spray aside, You also prevent random stream splits or pressure changes. Also sneezing. I mean, sitting down doesn't prevent sneezing, but at least You don't have to worry if You do have to sneeze while You're peeing. Avoiding the whole "put the seat down - no put the seat up!" argument is just a side bonus, really.

Have you cleaned mens and womens bathrooms, and if so, which are worse?

[–]ghaki 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

My first job was as a janitor. The men janitors cleaned the men's restrooms, the lady janitors cleaned the ladies. The ladies made it clear however bad we thought the mens restrooms were, the ladies were much worse, and would have traded with us in a heartbeat. (I just wish the men would have stopped spitting tobacco on every surface.)

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I've heard that several times too.

[–]Mitschu 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've cleaned both before.

The horror stories about menstrual graffiti, shit smeared over the seat, used toilet paper on the floor, and tampons and pads clogging the bowl?

They're not horror stories.

The weirdest shit I ever saw was a phone number, written in chunky and lumpy blood, with "pleese stud me now" underneath it. Like, surreal levels of what-the-fuckery. Who writes in their own (presumably) blood to pass the time? Who leaves their (presumably real) phone number in a bathroom stall? Who expects men (presumably) to get ahold of their phone number in a woman's bathroom? Who really thinks that with all the above factors, a guy is going to somehow come across that number and actually call someone that batshit cuckoo?

On the flipside, I once found an unopened Snickers bar in the men's room, picked it up to throw it away, and as I was tossing it in the trash the smell and texture hit me and I realized that someone had worked all the nougat out and somehow managed to fit and roll their shit into a narrow hole at the end, squeeze it shut, and fluff it up to look like a candy bar.

I've also had to call security to escort a woman out of the store, and it was only when they followed her a ways they realized she was either freeballing or just plain overflowing, and every couple of feet... drip drip, tiny smattering of blood would fall from inside her skirt onto the tile. "Miss, uh... I'm afraid we'll have to ask you to... um, well... leave the premises." "Why?" Flabbergasted pointing at trail. "So?"

Gotta say, if you haven't encountered the worst of humanity, congratulations on getting out of janitorial work quickly enough.

[–]Sanguifer 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I cleaned both, but the students were reasonably civilized. Not many horror stories from me. But then again, those were dorm bathrooms, small dorms, so no public restroom mentality - the people using the restrooms would presumably like to use them again the same day or next day.

I'd never claim that women are angels when it comes to hygiene, just a simple observation that stand-up peeing does result in the area around the bowl getting dirty and smelly more quickly, so it's not an entirely unreasonable request (unlike the moronic manspreading thing).

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't like a hairy crotch on a woman

You've actually had success convincing a woman to shave down there?

[–]Blutarg 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She thinks stubble is sexy, so she's an idiot.

[–]iNQpsMMlzAR9 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Especially when one of her beard gripes are "they're scratchy".

[–]_-_Dan_-_ 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, as for the aging thing, you can compare photos on http://how-old.net Tried it with "I don't shave for Sherlock." Watson and there is an age difference of about 10 years. But then again, a) it's a machine and b) looking older is not a disadvantage for men in most cases. In the end, it doesn't matter what columnists say but what people who matter think (incl. yourself).

[–]scanspeak -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And the war on men continues.

[–]chocoboat 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

not every stupid opinion in the world has to be a "war on" something
