You’ve heard of women’s studies, right? Dr. Kimmel is the founder and director of the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities at Stony Brook University, part of the State University of New York system, which will soon start the first master’s degree program in “masculinities studies.”

This is a fantastic and comprehensive article, and the authors 2nd article on the subject is also excellent:

"Child Circumcision: Culture-based ignorance, fetish, and pseudoscience"

http://madsciencewriter.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/child-circumcision-culture-based.html

It's to be noted that the author is female, and she joins the long list of other women who have fought for decades against the sexual mutilation of infant boys. We all owe a big thanks to them.

Excellent. Will read that next article now.

Because when a child gets circumsised, mr doctor Gideon Goldstein can sell it forward.

Damn that's a thorough article. Good find. Also, my family is from Michigan D:

It is a very good article.

I happened upon it the other day when researching male genital mutilation. As a survivor of MGM (oh the theatrics) I never noticed anything in particular with my sex life except that I could go for a very long time. When I was younger it was a neat skill but older now it has become burdensome.

I do not have any sexual issues to my knowledge, I just don't feel sensitive down there. Even if I don't masteurbate for weeks. Receiving head is pointless, I barely feel anything unless the girl knows what she is doing, and most don't.

Talking to my unmutilated European friends there is a different opinion. They say that finishing quickly is not an issue and that they can go multiple times. I'm lucky to continue after two orgasms as my sensitivity is completely diminished. I have been reading that MGM is not always accurate, that some may lose sensitivity more than others and that it can come down to the doctors method at removing the foreskin.

Anytime I bring this up to supporters they justify the barbaric practice for "hygenic" reasons. My European friends are horrified that it is a normal practice in America and they had stated that none of them ever had any issues in terms of infections or complications with their foreskin.

This practice needs to go in my opinion.

Try working on your kegels, it can greatly improve your sexlife regardless of whether you're circumcised or not. At the very least it can't hurt.

I have been reading that MGM is not always accurate, that some may lose sensitivity more than others and that it can come down to the doctors method at removing the foreskin.

This is partially true, some circumcisions remove the frenulum along with the foreskin and some don't. The frenulum is the most sensitive part of the foreskin so if it's left there are at least some nerve endings intact. This however doesn't change the fact that any circumcision still removes more nerve endings than there exists in the female clitoris. Bam and they're gone, never to return.

How people can argue that such a thing does not reduce sensitivity is beyond my understanding. However our bodies are really adaptive things and the most of our sexual pleasure is in our minds. Which is why circumcised men are still able to feel good when touching the penis. The variations to this though can be pretty vast between people and really hard to compare at times.

It appears as you have gotten the short straw in this and there isn't much I can offer in ways of help and I'm terribly sorry for that. Have you looked into restoration? It's a long process but from what I hear it offers a great improvement. Also try to explore the sexuality in your mind because that can greatly influence what you feel with your body.

It's a ridiculous practice that should be treated like the more extreme body modifications IMO.

I've practiced with the mind and have come to greatly enjoy sex without having to reach orgasm every time. It's nice because it fills your body with testosterone without making you tired.

Otherwise I've dealt with it for my whole life. It's not the most important thing in the world but my experience has opened my eyes to this procedure and the best I can do is not bestow such mutilation onto my own children.

"hygiene reasons"

If someone says that to you, hand them a bar of soap and tell them 'problem solved'.

That's the same fucking justification they use for FGM, too. Such bullshit.
