Hillary will ride the pussy pass all the way to the White House

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can't criticize her or you're sexist. Can't blame her for anything she does or doesn't do because women don't have real influence over men in politics. She's the perfect candidate.

Or worse, the pussy-worship rhetoric will backfire and land Jeb in the White House.

I'm not sure it's worse exactly. My opinion is it'd be equally bad, but I see your point.

I don't want to blow things out of proportion, but I'd rather see Hillary in the white house than a tactical nuclear strike on Iran.

How very ironic that those who speak loudest that gender/race/religion etc. shouldn't matter in these things are the ones who are the most enthusiastic that the president might be a woman. They are the ones who reduce Hillary to her gender instead of evaluating her by the content of her character. They are just as sexist as the (mostly imaginary) enemy they claim to be fighting.

Right? Don't be sexist, but pick Hillary because she is a woman, and what it would mean!

Yeah, fuck picking the best candidate available for the job or anything

Holy shit, the clickbait.

The TL;DR is: A lot of other smart people voted to go to war, and made the best decision they could at the time. Electing a woman is symbolic, yada yada.

Here's what she actually said:

A war vote is a vote that everybody makes on the basis of what think know, what they believe, who they trust. There’s large number of people who supported the war. The consequences have been terrible in terms of what it meant to our veterans and the rest of that, but no. the answer is no. I don’t think [Hillary Clinton’s vote for the Iraq War] should disqualify her…

What’s important is what it would mean to elect a woman president of the United States. It’s a very major consideration. A very qualified woman to be president of the United States. Not just that she is a woman. When I became even whip, the response was so overwhelming from people saying how encouraged they were that we had broken not the glass ceiling, that’s nothing. We’re talking about the marble ceiling.

But hey, if that’s the game we’re playing, I’m a woman! Make me president! Sure, I’ve got no experience in office and zero voting record, but, at this point, what difference does it make?

My inauguration would be a very historic occasion. I’d be the youngest president, too, so that’s two birds with one stone!

Made me chuckle. She'd probably make a better president than Hillary too. Fuck, I really hope the republicans either get their shit together or die and let the libertarians take over.

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh well she's not cut out to be President then.

Every time we hear something that Hillary has done that is morally wrong, criminally wrong, or hypocritical, anyone who questions it will be considered sexist. The Left is so blinded by gender and so eager for a female president that they don't care who it is or what kind of woman is being elected.

The bad news is that we're in for a long election period where Hillary is going to not pull any punches against her opponents or the Republican party and break down in tears anytime anyone says anything that could possibly be mean towards her and the press is going to eat it up as the Republican party is mean to women and anti-female while ignoring that Hillary is being as mean, dirty, nasty, negative as possible, even out right lying.

The good news: She doesn't have a shot at winning. Seriously. In 2008 she should have won the nomination but her own party voted Obama. They picked a man with no real history over her. The only reason why she's currently running unopposed for the nomination is that Clinton has so many connections and so much power and influence that anyone who opposes her will no longer have a career in politics, plus, any Democratic male knows that if they announce their candidacy for President, they will be instantly attacked as anti-female in an attempt to prevent Hillary from becoming president. In addition: the Republicans have every scandal, every soundbite, every gaff she's made since 1994 to use against her. All the Republicans have to do is ignore the attack that they are anti-woman for even running against Hillary (and that's really it, it's not that they'll be attacking Hillary that makes them anti-woman, it's that they're running against her), use Hillary's past against her and the Republicans will beat her. Hell, in many ways, she's already beaten herself.

[–]t0talnonsense 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're vastly underestimating the damage the Republican Party will do to its candidates during the primaries. The hard, religious, right will force even center right Republicans into saying things that will make it incredibly difficult for them in the general election. Hell, look at Mitt Romney. The guy was fairly moderate, but came out looking like a hardline right-winger. The idea that it's the Republican Party that just needs to sit back is completely wrong. If The Republican Party continues to primary out their candidates, all the Democrats have to do is sit back and let the bad PR flow from the GOP. It doesn't even have to be from the Presidential Candidates themselves. Anyone remember the damage Todd Akin did to the GOP brand by talking about "real rape?"

[–]eaton80 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A bad man must have made her do it!

[–]rebuildingMyself 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The bad man will be a meanie head to her during the race. Expect more butthurt tears about how the GOP are a bunch of sexists for attacking her voting record, experience, etc.

Cool. Didn't know we were doing misleading titles in this sub. That'll really open me up as a contributor.
