By putting up those signs they are inadvertently saying that catcalling is okay, just not where the signs are.

Archive What bothers me most about this is...is there some form of punishment now, how long until they try to make this illegal? And suddenly saying "Hey beautiful"becomes an illegal offense.

So many questions....

If this works, they should try it for rape, murder and mugging too. That's the problem in this country, no one ever teaches men not to catcall, rape, murder or mug.
Does this mean that catcalling is fine so long as there is no sign present?
Can I still say "good morning" or "how you doing", or is that catcalling like they showed in the "walking in NYC" video?
