We believe the fact that a man was allowed to run against a woman for the position of Women’s Officer disadvantaged the woman and that allowing a man to hold this role defeats its purpose.

We believe that a man being elected (unconstitutionally) over a woman for a role that focuses on women’s welfare, empowerment and equality is absurd and offensive to women students.
