Wasn't there just a feminist study that claimed to have done the same thing last year and the male resume was rated as several thousand more in salary than the female resume?

Im a scientist. Half my class were women in undergraduate. Half were women as a grad student. About 40% were women in industry. Half are women at the university I work at now. Purely anecdotal, but I don't see a problem of no women in science. If anything it's no Americans in American science. Seriously most scientists I know are non American (as am I)

Okay so I'm a stem major in a mostly male dominated field. I will tell you this, companies will hire a woman over me in a heartbeat. It (mostly) doesn't matter what the grades are or how many extra curriculars or internships you have done. And I'm honestly not even trying to bs about this. I'll get a job soon enough (graduating senior and all) but companies would look at an applicants sex and immediately go for a woman with the same or even lower qualifications without hesitation. Why? No women want to actually be in my field. Sure there are some, and the ones that are there are awesome at least half of the time or so. The others? The only reason they have managed to stay in the field is because of special treatment. And I know this first hand because they are my peers. I've gone out and worked with women who have been personable enough but have fucked up to the point where I don't understand how they could possibly be employed. But they are. And companies are willing to turn a blind eye to incompetence (ao long as it's not too aggredious) because they like having women onboard. It's fucked. I get it. I'm not complaining (especially considering the afformentioned fact that there are so few women in the field that it really doesn't make much of an impact on job placement) bit it just feels wrong honestly. Companies should look for people based on merit. Not just what's between their legs.

So that would explain the push for women to legally be able to sign documents for financial products and services back in the 1950s, and for the right to obtain a safe and legal abortion? And for women to be free of the threat of genital mutilation in a civilized country?

Women (and minorities) have been the target of discrimination for DECADES.

Anyone who claims otherwise is an ignorant DOLT.
