Why is it that it's acceptable to say "Girls mature faster than boys" but not "Males mature farther than Women" with my example being Office interactions. The men when in competition are generally trying to be/prove they are the best while the women compete in general with a focus on tearing each other down.

I was told the first statement is unequivocal fact (I disagree everyone is different) while it's unacceptable to point out the other one. I can't come up with a valid reason.
