I think Mike would do better on shows like these if he kept to men's issues. Don't try win the argument by marginalizing the women's statements, even if they are false, but point out similar facts about men. The studies back the men's issues, so you don't really have to get into a shouting match. You can just quote studies all day.

For example, the lady throws out a statement that 2 women per week are killed by men (not necessarily partners). This statement would lose all shock value if Mike just said how many men are killed per week, which is most definitely more. If he could show that 4 men are killed every week by men compared to 2 women every week then, if anything, it shows a bias towards not killing women.

I got 4 and a half minutes in and couldn't watch any more.

I was hopeful when I read about the JFMBP. I was hoping Mike Buchan would be talking about bias in education, bias in family courts, divorce law, shared parenting, anti-male sentiment in the media, depression, suicide, Intimate Partner Violence as something that affects both sexes - I could go on.

I was a guaranteed vote for this man, but all he does is go on national TV and proclaim that the problems affecting half the population are not problems at all - which is exactly what polarised me against Feminism in the first place.

If he can't win me round - someone who has been an MRA/ anti-Feminist since college (10 years ago), he's lost the battle before its even started.

And I'm going to e-mail him at [email protected] to tell him as much.

I've been cringing at every interview this guy has done ever since the one where he said his biggest role model was Margaret Thatcher.
