What I don't get is how is everyone okay with this 1 in 5 number to begin with? Just a year or two ago we were being told (for decades) that 1 in 4 women will be raped. Now it's 1 in 5 is sexually assaulted? That means that 1 in 5 will either be raped, hit on, have her ass slapped, have some guy brush against her or just come into contact with her, etc. Where did the fucking 1 in 4 go? And even that briefly became 1 in 3.

Very nice. A deft repudiation of a shoddy study. It would be even more memorable had it connected the authors to feminist advocacy, but it was top polite.

I wish the SHARP lesson planners would read this. It's almost nothing but these kind of statistics and even an accusation can end a military career, regardless of guilt.
