Can you defend yourself if you are falsely accused of rape?

OK guys, must mean it's time to fight back. So in essence, under these guidelines, if you're accused, you're fucked. Unless a claim is made that is so incredibly improbable that the board dismisses it ("I was gang raped in the middle of the quad at 2pm on a Tuesday, by the entire football team"), it seems like any claim will be treated as truth unless definitively proven otherwise... which will be borderline impossible.

So, here's what we do: If you're at a school enforcing title 9, this one's on you. If you've been to a party, you know that after a couple drinks, girls get... affectionate. They like to touch everyone, and hang on you, etc. But we, in general, just dismiss it. Ya know, they're drunk. Just how it goes. But not anymore. If some girl starts hanging on you, and you don't actively enjoy it, report it to the school. Demand your sexual assault be handled under title 9. You deserve justice just as much as anyone else.

Now, in the process, do not lie. Period. It's completely unacceptable to put someone's life in jeopardy over a falsehood. We're better than that. But I don't see anything wrong with embellishing a bit. Annoying can be considered uncomfortable. Being made nervous can be considered being made afraid. Simi-reasonable exaggerations seem to be the name of the game.

The objective is not to destroy lives. That's what the opposition wants to do. Again, we're better than that. Our objective should be to bog down their system. Turn it from absurd into completely inoperable. Show it for the farce it truly is. You're more than welcome to "withdraw" charges in whatever way is appropriate at whatever time you see fit (provide expulsion hasn't occurred yet).

But they've made it clear that the system is in place now, and they do not wish to rethink that decision. They are clearly not interested in outside opinions or reason. They are not interested in the counter-argument. They are not interested in fairness. They will not be advocating for equality.

They've made their choice. And they've left us with ours. To either be victims of their system, or to fight it from within.
