That said, Theresa May is nutty as a fruitcake, and if there's one thing the Tories love, it's restricting people's freedoms and pushing their own morality and the total power of the state over the people (c.f. the new porn law, and the previously proposed absolute ban on porn, and their repeated calls for ISPs to enact technologically unfeasible restrictions and monitoring).

It seems Reddit has a bot that looks for certain types of user behaviour that indicate spamming or brigading. Sometimes innocent users get shadowbanned along with the bad guys. Usually they can fix this if they contact the admins.

Although this law will probably create problems for anyone trying to use it, it isn't as one-sided as the article OP links to makes out. For a start, the law itself will not be gendered, although to no one's surprise the public discourse around it is. Also, the maximum sentence is five years not fourteen. Given the female penchant for ..... coercive control, we now have the interesting possibility that a law passed, supposedly to limit male on female emotional aggression, could just as easily be used against a controlling female partner. If that happens I will laugh my gentleman's parts off.

It isn't. What is abuse is using verbal criticism as part of, in Theresa May's words, “a complex pattern of abuse using power and psychological control over another".

Suggesting that sustained verbal abuse and criticism done in such a way as to undermine and control your partner is domestic abuse is not "leftist lunacy", it's basic common sense.

I say, let the craziness continue to get worse and worse until there is no denying it, by anybody. Let the comedically tragic precedents sear into the collective conscious, so that when the whole house of cards comes falling down, it will have been bad enough that nobody will let these bitches off the hook when they try to come crawling back to get things to go back to how they were. Its not like good women will ever have a hard time. But when the economy dies, and/or sex technology is good enough to bypass the need for human on human sexual contact, all of a sudden the victim card will be "nobody wants to fuck us" or "we can't do this on our own," and any respectable men left will tell them to go fuck themselves.
