Joy, another step toward letting women sacrifice their lives on the corporate altar. The truth is that only a few will want to do so, and the rest will be pressured into delaying childbirth to remain at optimal productivity.

Although with automation and computers replacing jobs, the developed (corporate) world is going to be a very different place in fifty years anyhow. The only places that won't change are those where people already live at a subsistence level.

Wow, I'm surprised that's talked openly about. Every time I've brought up that notion, it is treated with a very harsh response, and it categorized as oppression.

It's written from a feminist perspective, but she's right that the rise of the artificial womb is a good thing: along with the development of sexbots, it'll render women obsolete, and by doing so, it'll strip both women and feminism of much of their power.
