Hey guys, at a bit of a dilemma right now. So, as a high schooler I’ve grown up around the beach and got into the basic style of it. If I’d go out, I’d throw on a flannel, chinos, vans, a whiff of cologne and I’d be great.

If it was casual, I’d keep it the same but switch out the flannel for a T-shirt from the surf shop or from Zumiez. If it was more formal, swap it for a slick button up.

But this was high school fashion. Honest, I didn’t have to try hard once I found that groove. I’d go /r/streetwear or malefashionadvice and honestly didn’t find anything of that stuff appealing whatsoever. But the casual surfer/skater wear really appeals

Here’s the issue. I’m growing up, and I have half a sense the shit I’m wearing right now isn’t going to fly for a soon college age guy. Especially since I’m starting to get back into lifting, I want an outlook that’ll look steezy casual or semi formal. I’ve seen friends on Snapchat start to upgrade their wardrobe and I want to start the same.

What’s a good source to start? Is there a good variant of a Southern California beach style that works for men? I’m in the teenage section and want to advance. Thanks for any help
