There is so much to unpack here but I'll try keep it short.

Drug dealer and being college educated. This is a common thing I see, most often in the U.S. for some reason and within the black community for the most part (of course it happens in other communities too). My take on this is the culture (read: movies, tv, sports, music) pushes this via the celebrity/famous/clout/cool tag being applied to rappers, athletes and public figures. I.E. they rap about dealing drugs > drugs are cool. Everyone wants to be known and 'cool' so they do what society/culture tells them is cool (that's the simplistic formula to being popular/cool). It doesn't happen instantaneously but over the years, especially during developmental years.. it kind of gets ingrained within them regardless of a degree or not. The college educated aspect is redundant. College means very little these days with degrees like 'gender studies' where you quite literally have zero job opportunities afterwards. All you get is a piece of paper and you become a feminist. With other degrees, say nursing, social work, business, marketing (degrees women tend to lean towards) don't touch on logic and rationality AS MUCH AS S.T.E.M. based degrees do. This obviously promotes the disconnect between 'being educated' and making poor decisions in relationships/life. Not all, not always... but just generally speaking here.

On the whole 'not on my level' aspect, I don't think this is anything new. Most women are average (that's how averages work) YET most women would rate themselves a 10 or a 'queen/boss' every single time. There is a fundamental disconnect between what is actually occurring or being asked here. When people ask, 'rate yourself from 1-10' it often gets translated wrongly to 'how much do you believe in yourself'. That's how most women tend to answer it. The right question should be 'how do you see the marketplace (read: men) rating you?' and even then they would still say a 10 or a queen, etc. They haven't critically thought about the question at all, they completely ignore what the marketplace (read: men) want, look for, desire, how they think, etc. In fact, it becomes irrelevant and they literally don't care a lot of the time. They deserve the dream and prince charming regardless because that's what they believe (feel) and end of discussion. Other women promote this, other men (simps) promote this too and worst of all, culture and society reinforces this too. So the eventual result is average women think toooo highly of themselves because it's never been checked and it's actually promoted (the 'feel like' I deserve it mentality) rather than thinking about it logically and asking what do I bring to the marketplace, how they see me, what am I worth? etc. You would never run a business believing your average ass coffee is worth $100 and it would be successful. Why is that? Because the marketplace will not support your 'belief' and you'd go broke. The same thing with these average women, your a typical $4 coffee and you're expecting customers to pay $100 because you 'feel like' that's the price.

Men are less prone to the above however, so much so less that I can't really point to an example of a broke, fat, lazy, uneducated man walking around claiming they are a 10 or a 'king'. Even if they did/do... they are seen as crazy. The reason for this is because the marketplace (read: women) operates correctly and they get rejected, shamed, ignored, etc. Even society/culture reinforces this through the various medias of television, online, advertisements, education institutions, songs, etc.

The dating marketplace operates correctly for the men. The dating market does not for women. The biggest culprit for this is because that average woman will be able to 'get with' or get attention from.. an above average man via likes, follows, messages, sex, etc. Which reinforces this idea with women that they aren't average because they slept with this guy, or that guy messaged me. What they don't do.. again, is critically think about what is actually occurring. Sex/other validation from these men does not equate to long term relationships/marriages. Men are on a mission to sleep with as many women as possible, women are on a mission to settle down with the best man possible so to sum it up... we are like 2 ships passing in the middle of the night, we might honk the horn and wave at each other or even board the ship for some time and have fun on the water slides and at the bar... but ultimately you'd be boarding your own ship eventually sailing away. Sex/instagram/clout does not equal marriage/long term.

Mate, I predict you're going to get a lot of hate for that totally accurate and brilliant comment. LOL

Part of the disconnect is the way men and women view sex.

Women for the most part don't date or have sex with men below them, men on the other hand will take a woman who has no interest in romantically and have sex with her. Because of this women then view themselves as being at the same level as that man when in reality they are not because they don't understand the difference in attitudes.

This imho is at the core of the no good men argument, my answer when women want to know where the good men are is either with the good women or not looking where you are. The exact same thing is true for the men asking the same question with reversed genders.

I agree completely.
