Listen the whole pay gap thing is; and feminists know this as well. Men simply work more. Harder and Longer hours; and are more assertive about getting a pay rise.
This has even been proven in parliaments. When asked about the amount of time women worked vs men. They found men worked longer hours so naturally they earnt more. You work more you get paid more. It’s as simple as that.
Now, feminists are like “why are men working more?!” - start enforcing paternal leaves so men have to stay at home and raise children as well.
Like that’s just one of the many factors that contribute to men getting higher pays. Men naturally have an insane work ethic compared to women and choose more difficult and higher position jobs that require longer/harder working hours.

In words of a wise man," The reason why men are struggling today is because society tells them that their wish to be more productive and respected is somehow an outcome tyranny of patriarchy."

We should wish for everyone to work less. I have recently read about the need for better rights, not just equal rights.
Why aim for equality through limiting/decreasing the rights of one gender, when we should aim for increasing rights for all.

Paternal leave should be an option though

Men have insane work ethic? I’m feeling guilt here
[–]OneTrueLordOfReddit 54 points55 points56 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's not even taking into account that the study is based on results where the gap was created because women worked less hours and took more holidays. I mean that's literally asking for less pay.

My Bamps (grandad) used to be a postman and there were always women who would complain about not getting paid as much while refusing to carry the heavy sacks. Always amazes me. But they will sqwark on about doing the exact same job. (And yes I know not all women are like this, I am one.)
[–]tbl44 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
I sincerely appreciate your sentiment but just curious, why are you on this sub?
[–]seajayde 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
I'm on this sub for probably the same reason as anyone else is I'm anti extreme feminist. Why do you ask?
[–]tbl44 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Just curious as I said, being anti extreme feminist seems to be an unpopular sentiment with many women I know.
[–]seajayde 16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
A lot of women are for equality and don't think any sex should get special treatment cos of their sex. Also will recognise all the bad shit men have to deal with and will speak up for them and try to help them. They are out there, I promise! I know I'm not the only woman here who thinks extreme feminists are batshit crazy.

34 year old woman here. I couldn’t agree with you more!

Thanks for your side, happy cake day!
[–]jolivarez8 -4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Just wondering, would you consider yourself a feminist or egalitarian? Some people equate only one with equality and some equate both with it so I was kind of interested in a woman’s take on which seems a better movement to associate with.
[–]seajayde 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Well, I said I wasn't a feminist in a previous comment so that answers that. I can't speak for all women but I deffo think that being an egalitarian is the way to go. Some feminists are for equality but as with anything, you seem to have to wade through the shite to find the good people. Imo anyway.
[–]jolivarez8 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ah, sorry that I didn’t catch that. I had just seen the anti-extreme feminist comments and some people can be a moderate feminist and be against the extremists so I wasn’t sure. Thanks for your insight, I know ya can’t speak for all women, but I am still interested in hearing what any women might think about these kinds of topics so I appreciate it.
[–]VestigialHead 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There are more and more women taking this position everyday. They see the crazy harm that the extremists are doing and want no part of it.
[–]MrsDSL 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I am a 34 year old woman and a conservative. Most women I know are anti feminists.
[–]megaSalamenceXX 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sadly most of the younger women I know dont share that sentiment.
[–]rockynputz 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Most people are for equality, they just hate feminists actions and words.

I hate when people try to argue for something and don't even look beyond the surface level. The pay gap is a prime example of this.

Let us not forget about the hoes who blow their bosses for promotions and bonuses.

I work with a female. In the last 4 years she has taken off for 4 1/2 months after having her toe operated on, a combination of 6 months for the two babies she had, and has left early multiple times due to crying fits after talking on the phone to her abusive husband. In that same amount of time I have had a kid and spinal surgery and only missed 3 weeks.

Wage gap is fake

or seniority either. they whine about getting 83% of the same pay as a dude who's been working there in the same job as her for 12 years, when she's had that job for 12 months.
All of those reasons can be summed up into "different career choices"

Not a fan of this meme because there is a visbile difference in the number of carrots but the pay gap has been proven to be wrong.
[–]Bananas_r_people_2 11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
The pay gap exists but it’s not because of sexism or patriarchy it’s because men work harder and longer and more often.
[–]rockynputz 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And it's only like 1-3%, It's funny women don't like to bring up how single women in their 20s early 30s out earn men.
[–]conankudo1610 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No it doesn't. The pay gap is looking at women and men overall as earners. It claims that women get paid less solely for the fat that they're women. When what's actually happening is that men and women are paid the same depending on the fields they go into and the hours that they work. I get what you're saying but that's not what the pay gap is.
[–]SuperLutin -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It does not exist.
google example
[–]zeerust2000 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The 'pay gap' is a difference in average earnings between men and women taken across the entire workforce. It's a valid statistic, as far as it goes. But feminists simply stop there and don't bother asking why the average earnings differ. They simply assume it has to be due to some kind of oppressive discrimination against women, when it actually isn't. It's due to many factors, including the fact that men on average work longer hours.
