Hi all,
Need advice: it has been more than a year since separation, and divorce being finalised soon after some delays.
I am definitely not over it - in fact, I feel I have grown more and more depressed and anxious in the last 2-3 months, despite therapy, exercise, and starting an antidepressant.
I just feel like I have very little left. My ex instigated the separation and I’m not over her. I miss the family we had with my two kids under 7. Now I see them on 2 days a week because I’ve moved about an hour away from them/where the school is. My plan is to save up and move back but it really hurts only seeing them some fraction of the time I had in the past.
I’m really burnt out and not completing work tasks quickly like I used to. I spend a lot of my free time just wasting time.
And I miss my wife in many different ways - she was my soulmate I thought. We also had a good sex life, and I miss that too. I saw some escorts last year due to loneliness, sex drive, and distress after separation, but ended up with herpes/HSV1 and as a result I’m hesitant to do that again, though I want that sort of connection again. Also that will make dating harder, not that I think I could date now.
Does anyone have any advice? I feel like I am drowning honestly…
