How bad is it really to change attorneys multiple times? For your image in court?

A lot of people tell me that it “makes you look likes a difficult client” or “it makes you look guilty for any allegations”.

I have an upcoming hearing initiated by my wife. We do not have kids. We are separated. Our assets have already been split at mediation. Should be a home run right? No court necessary.

Her attorney is an even bigger litigious narcissist and told her to have her day in court. So she decided to stop communicating, wouldn’t sign the MSA (here we have an abbreviated mediation memo which is signed but then you have to also sign a more formal MSA to complete the divorce), and then completely fabricated numerous contempt charges.

She of course is claiming I won’t sign the MSA when all we’ve been doing is emailing her lawyer asking if they have any concerns are they ready to move forward.

And of course demanded I pay for all her fees for the entire divorce as part of the claim. The entire divorce…which she started…to run off with her coworker. She refused to try counseling and had already monkey branched away.

So essentially motion to enforce, contempt, and legal fees.

My first attorney was too chummy with OC so got rid of them. Second attorney was okay. Wife realized they weren’t going to be friends with second one and that’s when she filed to go to court. But suddenly my second attorney’s personal life blew up. They seem unable to cope with emotionally. Forgetting facts of the case, not communicating with me, random outbursts when I ask a simple question, waiting until the last minute. Wife and OC have been stonewalling so not likely they’re settling.

Found a third attorney who’s on the ball but all my more experienced divorced friends say it will look very bad on me to the judge and is not worth it, even if my current attorney is the pits.

Advice, please. Hearing is in two weeks.
