Divorced when the kids were pre-teens and it made sense to allow the dog to go with them back and forth. Now that they’ve gone to college, I’m still sharing the dog with the ex. She doesn’t take care of him well and I’m just annoyed with the situation now. Anyone else lived through this sort of arrangement? I wasn’t thinking about the dog’s end of life when I agreed to this years ago, but I think it’s even taking a toll on him in old age (14yo).
