You are still young. I’m 45 this September and my wife (39 yrs old) told me 3 weeks ago that she no longer loves me and has already filed. We’ve been together for 15 years (married nearly 9). I’m heartbroken, but life goes on. Start to find yourself again. You will always be a dad to your kids. I have an 8 year old boy and this is the hardest part for me. Be strong 💪🏻

You will be fine. Better at this age then at 37. Focus on you and your kids when I have them. You have just received a second chance at life my friend.

Just don’t give in to her. Stand your ground. Trust your guts not your nuts. Stay busy with a hobby or kids.

Having kids isn't going to count you out of dating. It's how you take on the responsibility of the kids that may hurt or help you. If someone you are dating sees that you are putting your kids to the side all the time, then they are most likely going to worry that you will do the same with her or any kids she may already have or possible future kids. (If you really believe that you don't want any more kids, you can take that into your own hands and have yourself clipped. Many possible future partners will be happy that you have stood up and took on the responsibility to take care of this issue yourself.) Those who don't, are most likely still wanting kids, and want kids that are going to be theirs. They don't want to be in a situation where they spend the next 10 years of their life with someone and raise this other person's child, for this person to them leave them and take the kids with them. I know that this is a fear of my own, as I do not have kids yet but still very much want them as part of my life.

Anyways, just make sure that you keep putting your kids first when in any relationships. I personally would much rather know that the person that I am seeing was spending time with her kids than with me. Her kids should always be more important to her than I am, and I believe that most women will want to see the same from any guy that she is seeing.

I should also say to be very careful about dating too early. I don't know where you are in things, but take time to process your divorce fully before thinking about moving on. Yes, I know that moving on and finding someone else can make any of us feel so much better, but even though we feel better then, it will come and bite us in the ass later.

I did this after my first divorce. Went right out and started to date. It felt great, but I didn't give myself time to deal with the loss. I got married again and very much felt that I was in so much of a better relationship with my new wife than I ever was with the first. But without knowing it I was too guarded about things and that seemed to drive her away after only 2 years of marriage.

Yeah you gotta got the gym or find some hobbies. It’s actually nice to have the free time but hard being away from The kids too. When they’re with you you can be super dad though. Then single dad when they’re gone lol

It will be hard. You have a lot of baggage. So you will have to find a girl who also has a lot of baggage.

Start by lowering your standards a bunch. Get used to fat girls, with no jobs, and 3 kids of her own.
