So, we have got the financial consent order. But the applicant (she) is refusing to apply for the final order for divorce citing that there are child arrangements which are pending.

We did mediation win intention to get a consent order for the child. However, she backtracked for the court order claiming thats its not in the welfare of the kid.

Now, this entire situation is frustrating given that when I am trying to apply for the final decree, its asking for £190 and there may be court hearing which may be around 2-3 months down the line. Absolute madness and pathetic system where the applicant can drive the process without any consequences. Anyone gone through this and can advise how this will play out if I apply and have the court hearing. Can the judge hold off the final decree and can I claim costs from the ex given her reluctance to apply for the final decree?
