I got married in1991. 26 years later we got divorced, ostensibly so we could split our assets and I could qualify for Medicaid.(I was diagnosed with M.S. in 2009.) My wife told me I would probably need help someday and she was not prepared to give it to me. At the time my diagnosis she had just gone back to school. She ended up with a master's in social work and got a job at an adult rehab facility. In 2013 we separated after an " incident."

After things cooled down everything was fine. I had my key, took my daughter to school and picked her up,went to the house all the time, always stayed there on Christmas eve and opened presents and ate breakfast with my whole family (3 kids). We celebrated birthdays together, went out to dinner, everything seemed the same except I was just not sleeping in the house This is about the time my wife suggested we divorce. I thought it was just a financial thing so I had no problem with it. Then she says we should put the house in her name( again, so I could qualify for Medicaid.) Still don't have a problem with it. She said it would always be my home. One day her new friend and coworker came up in conversation and my young daughter says she's a lesbian. Doesn't matter to me, so my wife's new friend is a lesbian, I have no problem with that either. Now you're probably saying to yourself " what is this guy, some kind of idiot?" You must understand, I was married to this woman for 26 years. I've known her for 35 years. Never in a million years would I have thought she would start another relationship let alone with another woman. A while ago I started noticing lots of changes around the house. It was as if my wife was erasing all memories of me in the house and I said as much. She denied it and just said it was her usual home improvements. Mind you we still have a joint bank account at this time so I'm paying for most of this stuff. New doors,a window, pots and pans, bathrooms, cycling gear, tennis gear because that's what she does with her new friend. All this time she is keeping the nature of her new relationship from me. I'm still going to the house all the time, I even met her friend a couple of times. One day I'm at the house and we were talking about her friend and I said" you guys aren't a couple are you?" She didn't say yes, she didn't say no. She asked " why, would that be such a bad thing?" I said yes of course it would. I don't know how you feel about her but I know how she feels about you. Has she ever made a move on you? Again she answered with a question. So what if she did? Well, that's when it all went south. I may or may not have threatened to hurt her friend if she did make a move on my wife. My wife got very upset by this and told me I had to leave. After I tried to explain myself and apologized I left but called her later and had what I thought was a productive and explanatory conversation. The next day I texted her to apologize again and she tells me she's changed the locks and filed a domestic incident report with the police! I'm dumbfounded. At the time I'm still not seeing the relationship my wife has with this woman. Only now am I realizing that she may even love this dyke. But before that realization I kept texting and calling. Finally she gets an order of protection against me. 4 sheriffs come to my apartment to give me the summons telling me I have to go to family court. Now I'm locked out of my house, not allowed any contact with my wife and can't get passed this ordeal. I have sent her the occasional text but she will not answer me, even on matters pertaining to our young daughter. I feel abandoned, helpless and alone
