Okay so we are scheduled for our resolution plan date later this week. We have both submitted financial affidavits. Hers by her attorney; I am self-representing for now. Hers is inaccurate to the point of being fraudulent: Salary was classified as weekly - she is paid biweekly - so looks like she makes double. Expenses appear to be made up. She applies the entire amount of each expense and does not list my weekly contribution. I pay in 50% of each expense that comes out of the joint checking account. I have kept a running record of this and things that I pay directly from my personal account. I know that she has been receiving outside funds to pay for her lawyer. There is a small amount listed as “loan from parents” but not nearly enough to cover the lawyer. What can I expect to happen at the resolution plan date? What I really need is more time. I have consulted with an attorney who I plan to go with. I am expecting a bonus from my job in December that will cover that. Can I push back on the clear errors in the financial reporting? Can I ask the court for more time to secure funds for attorney? How ugly can the discovery phase get?
