Hi guys- have really appreciated the feedback I’ve gotten here the past few months.

Going through a brutal custody/divorce situation and could use perspective from dads who’ve been through it.

I’ve had extremely limited supervised parenting time with my two young kids (4 and 2) for about two months after a silver bullet OP — currently only 6 hours per week. I’m trying to follow every order, stay calm, and make reasonable, child-focused requests through the proper channels.

But it feels like every path gets turned into a lose-lose. A previously agreed supervisor who knows the kids well and makes them comfortable is now being rejected by her. A daddy-daughter event I desperately want to attend and which she offered would technically create an OP violation (and she already tried to have me arrested for something similar), and I’m being told this event would reduce my parenting time to 4 hours this week if I want to do it. Even modest requests like a weekday supervised time, getting belongings, or walking the family dog have been denied.

Meanwhile, I’m seeing signs that my kids are struggling emotionally, and I’m worried the current setup gives one parent practical control over whether I can meaningfully parent at all.

The kids look at her for approval on any video call, my daughter said she was scared in the pool because mom was talking to other moms when she couldn’t touch the ground (she’s 4..), she’s acting scared and saying ‘please don’t be angry with me’ over the smallest mistakes.

For dads who’ve been through this: did the GAL/court eventually see the pattern? How did you stay patient and focused when everything felt stacked against you?
