I’ve been following this sub for over a month now, separated and tomorrow my future ex wife moves out.

I think I’m past the worst part of the lows - while I’m not done fully grieving yet, man I’m fucking excited about the future now!

My advice to you all: - Go to counseling it’s helped me talk through and process my emotions and past decisions

  • Spend time with family, if you don’t have family spend it with close friends, if you don’t have friends, MAKE SOME 😬. Just make sure you talk to people, many have gone through this.

  • Guys it’s not easy, but accept and feel those emotions, fucking ugly cry it out and think through why you feel the way you do and cope with each thing as it comes to you.

  • Don’t despair, try to plan out times to be sad, and don’t let it drag you down other times, being honest this ones hard, especially when you’re blankly staring at a monitor while at work 🤦‍♂️

  • make a list of things you’re going to do now that you’re single which you couldn’t / chose not to do before. If you have kids make a list for things you’ll do with the kids too - this helps look towards the future.

  • volunteer!

Bonus item: - I’ve promised myself I won’t hurt any women by jumping into a relationship before ready. Learn to be happy and single

Anyway, I wrote all this as I’ve decided to stop following this sub as at some point re living these stories can absolutely re open wounds that need to heal.

I truly wish you all the best, hope you all find a better someone to love, and whole heartedly thank you for listening and responding to my shit show 😂.

Cheers!!
