30 y/o Male here. I work and reside in a place in Andhra and she works and resides in TN.

After numerous verbal battles between us, we decided to apply for divorce U/s 13B (Divorce by mutual consent). We signed an MoU (which states that marriage was not consummated, whatever gifts and jewellery were exchanged, STX doesn't need any alimony and we will not withdraw our consent till we arrive divorce through mutual means).

MoU was signed on first week of Sep 23, we attended court hearing on First week of Oct 23. Case was filed in East Godavari district, Andhra (My workplace). Second hearing was scheduled in Mar 24. She refused to attend any counselling sessions and she has not put in any efforts to reconcile the differences between us. She has also not attended Second hearing scheduled in March 24. The second hearing date was postponed by 7 days and then is again postponed to 4th April due to her absence.

She has contacted a lawyer in Chennai and her lawyer told me that they are framing a case against me citing that she escaped from my place and she has a death threat to appear in Court. Hence she wants to shift the case to Chennai.

I need help / suggestions/ opinion to expedite the divorce process and come out of this pickle situation. I have a few questions in my mind and let me shoot them here: 1. Is there any circumstance under which court can consider her negligence to appear in court and grant me divorce under mutual consent? 2. What is the best course of action that I can take to prevent fighting lengthy legal battles?

Any advice / help / opinion offered in this regard is greatly appreciated!
