After two years of court battles, primarily initiated by my ex-wife, she filed a contempt charge as soon as one case concluded, and now I find myself obligated to cover her lawyer fees. Unable to afford legal representation any longer, I've made the decision to represent myself going forward and seek tips and advice.I anticipate my ex-wife will pursue full custody, using whatever falsehoods she deems necessary. She's proven herself adept at manipulation. Despite me being a great father; actively engaging with my children and providing a loving environment, supplemented by my remarriage to a wonderful woman who also love my kids. my ex-wife seeks to disrupt our stability. Recently, she managed to alter my domiciliary status through lies, deceits and crying at the court hearing, leaving me powerless as the judge chose to believe her version of events.Not sure what to anticipate, my attorney had always emphasized the difficulty of changing established custody arrangements unless there is evidence of abuse. Should I be concerned? What red flags should I be vigilant for, and how can I effectively defend myself in court without resorting to aggression? Unlike my ex-wife, whose lawyers adopt an aggressive stance while she sit and look cute and innocent, I struggle to maintain composure while presenting my case. Update about the contempt:

Louisiana, I made a post about it then deleted it, it was over $20 I paid 2 days late. I am supposed to refund her expenses by the end of the month and I neglected to do so on time. My lawyer said she's not worried about it. the judge said, she wants to nip that in the butt so it doesn't happen again and held me in contempt, my lawyer said the judge don't like me and there is no point on appealing it. because of that the judge made my ex domiciliary. I was shocked, I myself cannot believe it. it's like a big consequence over nothing,
My ex showed up with a team of lawyers, and neither me or my lawyer got minute to talk. my lawyer said if I appeal it and lose again, I will also be forced to pay her lawyer fees for the appeal and I don't have money. I was depressed about it because it was unfair and cruel to do. my lawyer was shocked.
