Have your attorney present. This is not the time to 'save on attorney fees' or some horsesh*t.

Have a list of things that you want to accomplish with the mediator. The mediator won't direct the discussion but help the parties meet an agreement.

Be prepared for anything. My STBXW showed up with her dad and attorney. She refused to be in the same room as me because 'she was sacred'

Mediation without your council?!?! Sounds strange, I’m watching this one. A husband is setting himself up to be eaten alive with the wrong mediator here and a conniving wife.

You may not know what mediation does.

Mediation is done for and between the concerned parties when you both agree to the majority of terms in a divorce. Without both parties there, she has a 'consultation with an attorney', not an appointment with a mediator.

What your STBX did is what my BPD ex did. Agreed to mediate, then served me separation papers from her privately retained attorney. It's a hedging / stalling tactic to keep you docile ("see? I'm being cooperative") and put you on the defensive.

Empty your accounts. Change the card numbers and get her off any joint accounts. Lock away anything of value before you're handed an injunction order. Sell what you can for cash and transfer title to friends you trust. Take pictures of the house inside and out.

Do not talk to her and do not interact with her unless there is a third party and/or recording devices. You are in for a fucking wild ride.
