So, found out my wife of two years (been together for 6 total) cheated on me (again lol) with another man, once i found out she started seeing him more like as if now it was ok, started to rub it in my face make me feel like it was my fault she left the marriage for her needs. we are out west away from family so we live out here alone, a few friends but not many. We have a boy he is 5 years old and a house thats over valued greatly. I am already in a bad financial spot with the house as its going to be a hard sell due to the market here and I ow the bank more than what I can sell it for write now. I have a descent savings and worked a shit ton of overtime this year so my wage is Way higher this year than it ever was and probably ever will be.

She is trying to get all these support payments that would equal 90% of my wage after taxes. Problem is, I wouldn't be able to live off whats left, I have our mortgage payments and bills from our life to pay. How can the system justify this? can I get out of this? does anyone have any experience with this in Canada? I am not saying i don't want to pay child support, I can afford that barely and I am trying to get her to stay in the house until we sell it and go our separate ways so I don't have these payments I can't afford.

The fucked up part is I put her through school through our relationship, would that not mean that she benefited from our relationship? that she is better off? She was able to get a descent job because of me, one that has the potential to make more then me. shouldn't that count for something? I will totally pay child support because its for my boy but it will be reduced because we are sharing him.

What is outrageous is the alimony payments. It's more than half of my income Before taxes! It looks as though I may need to declare bankruptcy if this happens this way. Why would I go to work if i'm just giving her 90% of my take home pay? it makes no sense as to how this is deamed fair by any means. Looking for any advice, I have no idea were to turn and she is not being fair.
