Well, the wife and I had somewhat of a 'heart to heart's as much as there could be one, where (I know this pisses people off) but I essentially offered a bunch of cash to move this along and do 50 50 custody. We talked about a lot of things and got emotional etc, but it was a decent conversation, even if it was all fake. At the end of it she seemed to be really considering it, and asked if she could think about it. She talked on the phone for 2 hours to her mother, whom I'm sure tried to or succeeded in talking her out of it. Now she says she is leaving in a couple weeks to visit her parents with our son for 3 weeks. She's been relatively nice to me since our conversation, but could all be a ploy. I'm not sure what is supposed to be happening in those 3 weeks, because I have yet to see even a draft separation agreement (she's told me it's a separation agreement because our last one was void due to reconciliation. She's said she can push the divorce since we both signed it, but it's easily defeated being we shared joint accounts until a few weeks ago). I'm just not sure what to make of it. She's in a hurry to get away from the marriage, but spending 3 weeks away must mean... What? All I can think of is she's going to give me an agreement or divorce papers I'll be absolutely against, and doesn't want to be around for it. But who knows, maybe she's taking that time to digest our conversation? She won't talk to me about why, and this kind of stuff drives me crazy. Like, I'm not sure why she doesn't want me in the loop on a separation agreement. You can't really surprised divorce me and tell me to pack my shit, so what the hell is happening
