Arkansas. Wife and I are splitting up. Got a 1 year old son together and 2 stepdaughters that aren’t mine but love dearly. House is in both of our names but 2 rental properties are in my name. Have a truck I’m still paying on. Both of us have our own separate credit cards and separate bank accounts. I want to leave her the house for my sons sake. It’s a mutual separation but I don’t know what to do. She probably won’t be able to pay the bills on her own and I don’t know what she has planned as far as custody. A friend told me to put myself on child support so I can have more time with him and documented financially and still pay the house and some bills. Just looking for advice as I dont know what coming and maybe some steps as to what i should do.
