Primary would be whoever has the child(ren) the most. 51% is still the most.

By DR are you referring to a doctor? Because doctors don't care who has primary custody. Coparent likely has joint legal custody and is entitled to the same information about medical care for the child as you are.

Thank you for the response. DR is Domestic Relations. Ex’s alimony is about to run out, and to make up for the loss I suspect she’ll want to reevaluate Child Support. I had greater than 50% of the overnights in a calendar year due to several reasons (about 58%), but our custody order as written for 50/50 was the deciding factor for CS payments to continue. The extra overnights were not a factor in the calculations and 50/50 was used.

I’m now looking to have the custody order modified where our daughter spends four out of seven nights per week with me, to make things better for our daughter regarding mom’s night work schedule. I was curious how DR would evaluate support calculations with a written order with me having >50% overnights if mom decides to have CS reevaluated when alimony payments are done.
