Hey all!

So I wanted to try and get an outside perspective from some of you that may have gone through this to see if I'm just freaking myself out about what will happen with my kids.

So here's the basic run-down of what's going on.

My wife (5 years together, 2 married) left me and took our kids 3 weeks ago. She filed for divorce 3 days later, and signed a lease on a new place 2 days after that.

She's leaving me because she's claiming that I have caused emotional trauma to her and our daughter, and says that I'll do the same thing to our son.

Our daughter (9) is hers from a previous relationship (one night stand) when she was 18. I legally adopted her after we got married. Our son (16 mo) is mine.

She has caused a lot of trauma to our daughter before and while we were together. When our daughter was 2, my wife left her in a situation where she got raped. She then got with a man that lived at his parents, no job, and physically and verbally abused my wife, and smoked weed in front of our daughter. Then when she broke up with that guy, she still had our daughter call him "dad" and sent her to him for "free daycare", even spending the night with him.

While we were together, she never spent time with the kids. Our daughter even lied to her school counselor about me abusing the kids, which she admitted she lied about because mom never spent time with her and she thought that would make mom spend more time with her if she lied about that. I have the DHS report where she adamantly defended me saying I'd never hurt my kids.

The main issues that she's leaving over is because I would get mad at her a lot for little stuff that she would/wouldn't do. We both worked full time, but for the past 9 months I was a stay at home dad. I do all the cooking, all the cleaning, all the housework, and all she ever really did was wash a couple of loads of laundry a week. She would make me do everything, because she admitted that she was lazy and she couldn't change that part of herself. So I would get upset at her for never helping me, even though she claimed she wanted a 50/50 relationship.

She's also stating that our daughter's therapist is saying that I'm causing emotional harm to my daughter because I would discipline her for her lying and stealing stuff. But I've never once talked to this therapist, so I have no idea what my wife or daughter has told her that might be lies or omitted information.

I know I got mean with my wife sometimes, and that was totally on me. But she's trying to say that I was gaslighting her and have emotionally traumatized her and the kids.

She also thinks I cheated on her, which is complete bs. I have never and would never cheat on my wife.

Now she's moved in with her sister and her sisters 4 kids, who lost her kids for 6 months from a CPS investigation because her daughter was born with meth in her system, and they're all living in a 3 bedroom duplex with only 1 bathroom, and the kids all have to share 1 bedroom. Meanwhile I'm fighting to find a job with this whole COVID shit going on, because I was the primary caretaker for my kids staying at home with them.

My wife will not let me see my kids, and is trying to force me into agreeing to only having supervised visitation with my children.

Everyone is telling me that she's crazy and that there's no way that I wouldn't get 50/50 with my kids. But no matter what, I can't stop freaking out that she might "win" and I would essentially lose my kids.

What do you all think about this? What would any of you recommend that I do? I have a lawyer, and our mediation is in 10 more days, but I know she won't back down from the supervision only, so it'll have to go to a hearing.
