This woman can't have a conversation without making it an argument. She likes to claim I don't believe she has rights or compensation she is "entitled" to. She uses those words a lot rights and entitled to. I don't care about stuff, but I do care about my peace. This woman will constantly text asking to come get stuff from the house. Sometimes she will other times she just shows up and hangs out with the dogs and/or "forgets" stuff here that she has to come back for.
She likes to claim I am to blame for all of her life struggles, she likes to say I tried to sabotage her PhD, she likes to say I am the reason she is broke, and the reason she lives as a 30 year old with early 20 somethings in college apartments. If you read any of my other posts you know we moved cross country for her PhD program, I bought a house for us to live in, told her to not worry about working while in school. I took responsibility of all the bills, the home, etc.
A year after moving down here she says she wants to separate with a possibility of us working things out in a few months, but needs space. In that time she started talking to at least one guy and slept around. That is when I put my foot down and said its over.
Now she likes to hold over my head that this is her house and she can come and go as she pleases. That the dogs are hers as well if she wanted them she could take them from me and that she is entitled to 50% or more of the home and more if as she says, "She wanted to get nasty". She claims I have this all great, because I am in control of the situation having been the one who spent almost $3k for the lawyer to write up paperwork. I told her that if the house is half hers then the apartment she got is also within our marriage and would be mine to visit as well. Not that I ever care to, I don't even know where it is.
I just know I feel trapped in my own home, because this woman decided on a whim she was out. I can't get out fast enough. I just want to move back home to my friends and family to start over. She claims since I am the man I have never been fearful within our relationship although for the past 11+ years she has mentally and emotionally abused me and continues to do so.
Please what can I do? Is it just a waiting game or can I actually change the locks on the house? I am fearful she would have rights to bust in a window to get past new locks. I don't trust her anymore. I just can't and I need to know what my rights are as the soon to be ex husband.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
