I have been married for 10+ years. Two teenager kids. I am planning to divorce because of mental and physical abuse. Our house is pretty much paid and none of us can buy the other one because of appreciation. I am assuming the house will be put for sale no matter what: mediation or court. I don't want the kids to have to switch schools since they are happy here and they are getting a good education. Rent is hard to find: there are five apartments for rent in the town where I live and none of them are suitable for two kids. I feel stuck. Some people are telling me to talk to an attorney but I don't see how that will help since I need to find a suitable place to make it work. Anyone else in that situation?
