My wife (35F) and I (34M) have been together 12 years, married for 8. The last few years we have slowly faded into a roommate situation, both of us sticking around for convenience while growing steadily unhappier. The first years were never that passionate and it makes me wonder if we were ever right for eachother or just both made a mistake and settled

We finally decided about 3 months ago that it was time to go our separate ways, or so I thought at least. Since then she's almost refused to talk about it with me, and we have basically been co-parenting while living in the same house

I'm the financial bread winner for the family by about a 6:1 margin and the only transportation for the kids as she doesn't drive

This situation has started to affect other relationships in my life, and I want to move on with the process, but I dont want to hurt anyone including my ex, but most of all my kids

I feel lost and dont know where to go from here, any advice would be appreciated
