Stats are neat, because if you don't know what they mean, you can make them say anything.

I really like when people say "only 2-8% of accusations are proven false" and then complain that "only 6 or 7% (can't remember the correct number) of rapes accusations lead fo sentencing.

Seems to me only 6 or 7% or rape accusations were proven true....

Which mean that there is 86 to 95% of rape accusations which are in a legal limbo whereas nobody can prove either truth or falseness.

So for all that we know, 98% or rape accusation could be true, but it's equally admissible that 94% of rape accusations are false.

They don’t care about false accusations until it’s men doing it (she’s right about men doing it too btw).

They also deliberately fail to acknowledge that while female victims go unreported, so are male victims who were both assaulted and falsely accused.

It's quite staggering how these kinds of people can just blather and bleat based off nothing but pure emotion and get nothing but praise and even systemic support.

Their logic makes no sense even under basic reasoning skills.

Just one example: If "nobody believes a woman" then why is rape and sexual assault seen by society as bad as, or even worse than murder?

The "even prisoners hate rapists" isn't some urban legend. It's real. Rape is so abhorred in society even violent offenders find it disgusting and inexcusable.

Go to the right neighborhood anywhere in America, tell the boys that so and so's cousin or little sister was being pestered and made uncomfortable by Joe Schmoe down the street. Then see Joe Schmoe have a REALLY bad day.

The DEFAULT is to believe women. Always has been. Need I cite the history of black men being lynched based off nothing but the words of white women?

It's legit gaslighting. Like, for fucking real. It makes me feel crazy.

I grew up in a society that did NOTHING BUT CENTER FEMALE VICTIMS in the conversation. "Respect women. Never hit a woman. No means no. Women can do anything a man can do, etc etc."

(obligatory statement that I am not, indeed, disagreeing or against any of the above)

It's like because society isn't a utopia and bad things still happen none of this societal teaching matters or even exists. Two things can be true at once. They incapable or unwilling to understand this basic concept.

The sad fact that rape still happens doesn't suddenly mean society PROMOTES it and lets it slide. The justice system is heavily flawed, yes. But again...two things can be true at once.

The way these people misrepresent, skew, and push statistics (stats often debunked or built on faulty ground) that bolster their worldview paint a picture of society that is near dystopian in its savagery if it were taken at face value.

They are a problem in the sense they are gendered (women doing it to men) meanibg its not a random thing its motivated by a female doing it against a male.

Its in feminisms interest to trivialize it because thry dont get careers destroyed, families destroyed by being falsely accused.

It also a problem bc is so easy for women to lie in our "believe women"/ "metoo" society.

The other problem is why are women not falsely accusing men of burglary, or vandalism or evading taxes? This shows it is a problem bc men dont get accused of many other crimes on a lie by women; showing that we shouldn't be facing false rape claims.
