The stereotype about radical feminists being lesbians exists for a good reason: people who actually like men are unlikely to believe the more extreme and horrific claims made about men by radical feminists.

To be extra clear, I'm not saying that being a lesbian, or completely asexual, or any other orientation that results in feeling no attraction towards men, will result in someone being a misandrist. Rather, I'm saying that actually being attracted to men acts as a kind of limiter on how misandrist someone could possibly be. Similarly, the most extreme and vile statements of misogyny that I ever heard were from gay men, even though the vast majority of gay men are friendly towards women and would never say anything like that.

Basically, extreme ideologies attact extreme people. A typical, well-adjusted person has no reason to be attracted to such movements.

This is the type of rhetoric that harms bi women, gay men, bi men, and trans women.

Being attracted to men is viewed as an attraction that makes you less than by a lot of people. Hence why a lot of women are turned off by bi men.

Treating being attracted to men as something gross fuels homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia.

Think about it. If the genders were reversed. And an incel or MRA person said this. Because men being attracted to each other is something mocked in society.

The amount homophobic jokes people would make would be numerous. But when a woman says this its considered normal.
