Girls are crushing it academically because education and programs are focusing on them. They're funding programs now to help girls get into STEM to even out the gender gap for equality. They don't give two craps that less boys are going to college because they have the "patriarchy" and already have an "unfair advantage".

Boys getting tired of being ignored isn't toxic masculinity, it's a cry for help.

Academic performance and toxicity are not related. I don't know why (s)he equates one to the other. Perhaps the OP, in the discussion, is part of the problem ? (S)he is talking to boys in a way they react to, whilst talking to girls in a positive way ? Perhaps there is a very strong undercurrent of misandry to the OP.

What if they "crush" boys academically? They're not going to earn a decent living with degrees in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Creative Writing etc. and other nonsense degrees. Boys who don't go to college will still earn just as much if not more through other trade jobs without having to deal with student loans.

Boys still dominate almost all the toughest and highest paying degrees such as Engineering, Computer Science, Economics etc.

Even in school, most of the top performers in the Physical Sciences, Mathematics, and Computer Science are male. These are the degrees that will actually earn a decent living and help build society.

As someone in a STEM field, I see absolutely no girls "crushing" boys. Almost all the top performers are entirely male. Not to mention, in a lot of these fields in addition to your academics your work experience also matters quite a lot.

Only people who thinks girls are "crushing" boys are those in the Liberal Arts fields. The more abstract and logical a subject gets, the more you'll see boys outperforming.

There is a reason why the "Gender Pay Gap" will never close no matter how many women go into college. Estonia still has one of the biggest in Europe despite women outnumbering boys two to one.

In addition to this, nobody mentions the fact how many extra scholarships and financial aid girls get and also not to mention how the school structure and curriculum has been designed to be geared towards them, especially with a lot of teacher bias as well, and also the fact the SAT has been revamped and dumbed down to allow girls to score more in Math.
