First read my first post on hypergamy before getting into it. https://www.reddit.com/r/exredpill/comments/pm5l7u/hypergamy_is_in_decline_lol_data_and_studies/
This post will be a series of compilations of information to contrast hypergamy. I will indicate point by point.
- European medieval men are interested in women's money xd xd xd
The first fact to note will be from a twitter thread that explains how women the more capital a woman accumulates before marriage, the better her marriage prospects! She can tempt a groom with her capital!!!!

Widows in C16-17 London remarried early & often, usually to bachelors, often younger! Inheriting a third of their husband’s assets, they were attractive prospects for a man seeking to make his way in the City Illustrated in this ballad!
This thread talks about how English widowed women who inherited the land and wealth of their deceased husbands, had a great advantage in the marriage market and many men in medieval England competed for these widowed women who possessed enormous wealth xd xd xd xd. So men were interested in widowed women to increase their assets and widowed women looked to young men for security and to inherit wealth. https://twitter.com/_alice_evans/status/1429113295081025546

- The more educated the woman is, the more hypergamy disappears.

Keep in mind that men on average earn more than women, so this may affect the results. But the results are astounding and the data was collected in 2011, therefore, seeing the trend, it is probably higher than the figure we see here.

The evidence shows that young people adapt to new demographic realities by increasingly forming unions in which wives have the educational advantage, leading to substantial declines in the historical hypergamic pattern. Across a range of different contexts (e.g.,France, India, South Korea, Kenya, the United States), the norms governing marriage markets have proven flexible enough to accommodate the increasing numbers of highly educated women, and, as consequence, the number of women marrying down has steadily increased.
Data for Europe show that wives with more education than their husbands are more likely to be the household’s main breadwinner. With respect to marital outcomes, as wives increasingly have more education or higher income than their husbands, the association between wives ’educational or income advantage and divorce has declined and is no longer sta tistically significant. This likely reflects two separate trends. First, low-income women are generally less likely to be married than their higher-income peers. The reasons behind this are complex and beyond the scope of this report, but they are likely affected at least partially by the difficulties inherent to living close to or below the poverty line, including the chronic stress associated with poverty and lower reported subjective well-being scores.28 Second, due to structural factors such as the gender wage gap, lack of access to affordable child care, and lack of workplace supports for parents, unmarried mothers are more likely to work in low-wage jobs, which makes them more likely to end up in the lowest income quintile.

While generally higher levels of education are associated with higher earnings, this analysis shows that women with a college degree are the least likely to be breadwinners, although the likelihood of being a co-breadwinner increases along with educational attainment. (see Figure 7) On its face, this finding is counterintuitive; nearly half of women who have completed some college are breadwinners (48.6 percent), compared with slightly more than one-third of women with a college degree (37.4 percent). Many in the manosphere dream of taking away or repealing women's rights, works and education, since supposedly, the more educated women, their hypergamy will raise their standards and this causes a mismatch in the dating and marriage market and a drop in the rate of marriage. Disqe birth rate because of the ´´excessive hypergamy´´ of women. Thing that we have combined that not.

As you can see, this study is very limited to the rest, it only has little scale and little precision but it shows interesting data such as more egalitarian countries, there is greater equality of income for husbands and husbands as we see in Finland, Norway and Denmark.
Couples comprising an employed man and inactive/unemployed woman are commonplace in these countries, particularly among the lower-educated (Hook, 2015; Lewis et al., 2008; Sánchez-Mira and O’Reilly, 2019).

- Low income for men and women complicates marriage for both sexes.
The redpill blames hieprgamy for the drop in marriages and birth rates, but this study analyzes the findings as both sexes have the same standards to achieve the objectives, the lack of income makes it very difficult in certain aspects and especially the children, each time it is more expensive to have children, the costs of the universities, how expensive it is to get a property, expensive rents whose salary grows little and the cost of living increases. It would be stupid to think that a low-income woman has children because yes, that would bring problems in the future. You do not have to be so fanciful about romance, you have to be realistic, MONEY DOES MATTER, it matters a lot for the children to have comfortable and safe lives and can have a better future, asking a poor woman or man to have children would be something dangerous. But the TRP sees it as hypergamy of course these guys are not thinking about that fact. xd xd xd. Why don't they just get married? Barriers to marriage among the disadvantaged - PubMed (nih.gov)

- There is less hypergamy in the West than the East.
Before showing the data, first emphasize that there is less hypergamy in rich countries than poor countries. u/akhivae. (2021, September). Since the first world nations have a smaller age gap in terms of marriages we are talking about, hypergamy in traditional societies is based on parental influence and a greater dependence on male income, therefore, choose older men who earn more. https://twitter.com/akhivae/status/1435409045138063364
It was once a universally recognized truth that a single woman would be in want of a prosperous husband. This is not to say that women wanted to "marry for money." But it is admitting that when women cannot earn a living, as they have not been able to do for much of human history, husbands determine the economic and social status of a family. Hypergamy, the tendency for women to try to marry "up", was, in part, a natural response to this dependence. Marriage was the only way a woman determined her status in life. KayHymowitz, K. H. There is no doubt that this research is interesting, it took me hours to attach data, please read the first publication on hypergamy as it includes much more interesting data. Soon I will address more about hypergamy little by little so wait for more publications on this topic.
Taking into account the salary gap and the great difference between both sexes can interfere a lot in the data so it is important to take that into account.
