I have been getting into redpill blogs (Illimitable men, rational male, girlschase) over the past two months and into the redlpill sub since I registered to reddit. I'm a male in my early 20s and I relate to TRP because in all of my relationships I was played and/or cheated on. The last one left me devastated for more then 2 years. I did never realize why until I found out what went wrong due to these blogs.

I'm into Philosophy and I relatively quickly figured that there is something fishy about TRP, although it offeres a lot of truth that is actually very useful. I think there is a lot of undeniable logic in TRP and it is just the fact that people use it in the wrong context or are unable to really use it at all.

Honestly I believe in a quite a lot of what is said and scientifically prooven, but I am aware that there is a lot of brainwashing going on.

Also I'd like to state that I do not have a problem with their ideology of a "good woman" which should care for her man and try to please him, and the other way round him beeing a forcefull leader and, if they decide to marry, provider. Since that's was what kept relationships and marriages alive for hundreds of years. Not to say that men and women shouldn't be treated equally but I think we fucked a lot of things up socially with all the role dismissing in the last years/decades. (i.e Rising rates of adultery, gender insecurity,)

Question is... Can one profit from TRP without beeing completely brainwashed?

As in every other social situation I do not want to approach dating unarmed.

I do not have a lot of problems to apply manipulation to a small kind of degree as life has never worked out for me beeing plain honest and open. (i.e. Job applications, getting in touch with people beeing "in charge", expanding possibilites with better contacts.)

Can I protect myself through the knowledge of these things from beeing like the "Alpha Jerks" or looking for the wrong kind of women? (like peotection from social engineering is to learn how it actually works?)
