You are a real cool bean, u/RedPillDetox. I have read some of your posts and they are always well thought. One of the reasons I visit this sub is that I used to be quite close (not in romantic sense) with a guy who openly and strongly hold RP beliefs. I am a traditional woman so some of those thoughts unfortunately or fortunately did not clash.

There was a time when he broke frame (something that will happen eventually imo. Humans are not programmed robots.) and told me that all of his so called plates are actually not the kind of women he would have gone for, but he felt great about the numbers. And he kept on ping ponging between finding Unicorn and preaching about abundance mentality.

I had to drop him as a friend at some point because you cannot keep a debbie downer like that as a friend for long. I wonder if he will ever find his way and leave TRP though. He is pretty knee deep in that cult that he believes everything is a shittest and SMV is the meaning of life.

I can't believe he quit. The Republican Party has went full-on nutjob these days. I don't think there is anyone who is still with the Republican Party who would feel alienated by having a red piller in the fold at this point. So why quit? It's not like he's David Duke ffs. Misogyny is more socially accepted than racism. And even racism is becoming more tolerated within the Republican Party these days.

Think about it. All the people who are left in the Republican Party, they are not that bothered by racism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, etc. The US President is Mr. "Grab 'Em By the Pussy". A sexual predator. The Gay Republicans like PayPal CEO Peter Thiel are still Republicans because they care more about tax cuts than the fact that the Republican Party hates them. Otherwise Peter Thiel would have endorsed Gary "What's Aleppo?" Johnson.
