I don’t understand this bullshit logic. No one, no matter how mentally resilient and how self assured they are, is immune to being damaged by being taken advantage of and treated as an object or a means to an end. Anyone with true self love and self respect will not let others treat them that way, because they would never treat themselves that way.

I wasted 7 months with someone that wouldnt go exclusive with me after it. We went hiking 2.5 hours up a mountain. And still had a 4 hour drive home. Called it off when I got out of the car. Did not want to angry cry the whole drive home.
