A shallow society?

It’s men that are shallow, not women. Women are way more likely to see past the superficial. Just look around at how many beautiful women with masters degrees and amazing careers shack up with unattractive, un employed and un motivated men because they have been taught to lower their standards. Women think past appearance because we are the opposite of shallow.

Men are very picky in how they want women to behave and dress. They will sleep with almost anyone but their “dream girl” will be held to incredibly unrealistic standards in comparison to them.

I think so, I always have. I do think if women had more power or when we have more power that it shifts, but on the macro level society seems pretty shallow to me.

I did OLD for 9 months this year and I completely relate to your disappointment. Society IS shallow. I was guilty of this as well! I learned that I needed to go for something different each time. I used to place a heavy emphasis on career and wealth (still think it's important) but then realized I would be stuck with the same type of person over and over. In my case it was scientists or engineers that were geniuses but were not competitive, insecure, entitled, didn't pursue, and didn't treat me like a queen (low value male qualities). Eventually I began dating welders, electricians, and mechanics. You know what I realized? I am attracted to how a man treats me. Money doesn't affect value - though it IS something you should consider carefully.

I wanted a hard worker and I got one using FDS-approved strategies (especially using the FDS-approved dating books). He brings me flowers every 2 weeks. He doesn't let me pay for dates, and I have a higher salary. He makes sure my car is running in tip top shape and I don't have to spend a dime. For Christmas he got me a nice jewelry set. I already met his parents and he has already asked me how much he should save for a ring (I told him we need to wait because I am still learning about him). It took 9 whole months of playing the dating game to finally find someone that cares about me and was generally interested in getting to know ME. So many guys show up on dates and talk about themselves. Don't let it get to you. Your lucky man will be out there somewhere, and by the time you meet him, you would have gotten an ample amount of dating practice.
