Yeah well I need a PhD in my field to even make a fraction of what a male with a BA will be offered so they can stay mad about it.

Women and girls are always being punished for being the victims of male violence.

Idk but that’s how it originated. I’m on the spectrum as well but it doesn’t change the fact it originated as allies.

Again, not originally but I’m not surprised the two have been lumped together

That’s completely okay. It’s not your fault. I am near 30 so it has a different meaning for me and many others but I understand it’s been introduced into mainstream society as a synonym for anything other than cis. It may not carry the same weight for you being of this generation but for many women who are lesbian or bisexual, it is in fact a slur.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. As a bisexual woman, it has been an offensive term my whole life. I cringe to hear it used so openly. As if white people were openly saying the N word as if it was okay. It stings every time. I understand other women who have claimed the term as an adult may not feel the same but to me it will always hurt. I get that other women may not agree (hence the downvotes) but that’s my experience.

Lol we have to do both. We’re expected now to earn over 50% of the income and also take care of the majority of the household and let’s face it- all of child rearing- so why can’t males life their weight? Earn their living? They have become so weak they don’t care about family or work aspects of life and exist to play video games and fap to violent porn. They stand for nothing.

Omg it’s so true. My ex slowly realized I was way smarter than him but I think he truly got upset over a few certain instances: -me understanding a show better than him about business and understanding terms like “mergers and acquisitions” Lmao like it’s that difficult. Comparing “females” and men yet again. I’m pretty sure most of instagrams comments come from misogynistic teenage boys who don’t have a clue how the real world works. They literally just repeat things they’ve heard from media because they think it’s funny and edgy.

I know of at least a few guys I’ve known since high school slide into my DMs or sending me unsolicited dick picks all the while having loving posts on their instagrams dedicated to their girlfriends. Even if they post stuff that seems they’re in love- they’re still out here cheating.

Exactly. In my self defense class they teach that it’s almost never going to be a stranger in an alleyway, but the guy sleeping next to you that’s more likely to murder you in cold blood. And don’t bother getting a restraining order since many women who are killed by their partner are found with the papers in their purse or hand. So if anyone wants to make fun of me for being single, I’ll say I’m doing it for my health and to increase my probability of living a long life 🤷🏼‍♀️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/04/20 04:14 PM

Maybe I want to be single. Maybe I don’t want to die at the hands of a violent male partner? Over half of the killings of American women are related to intimate partner violence, with the vast majority of the victims dying at the hands of a current or former romantic partner, according to a new report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention today. And those stats are old, it’s even higher now.

It has actually been shown in research that women regret casual sex more than men. Women regret casual sex more because we are shown to feel more disgust after a sexual encounter (an emotion that leads to regret), less likely to be left physically gratified, more likely to feel pressure to have sex, more likely to have non competent partners, and more likely to be worried about the potential implications of it for social reputation and sexual health. https://labs.la.utexas.edu/buss/files/2018/07…

One time I told my friend I saw a text post that said “having a boyfriend is like having a stupid son” in front of her bf and everyone laughed it off except him. He got legitimately ANGRY and started having a temper tantrum like a child. His response actually scared me. Women get cat called, sexually harassed, and criticized for every move we make on a daily basis but we don’t throw temper tantrums like this? Why are you so mad about a JOKE? Because it’s true? Back in my pick me days when I was a “cool girl” down with BDSM, I had a FWB who liked to strangle me during sex, slap my face, pull my hair, etc. We had been a thing for about two years when one night he got so drunk that when I said “no” he didn’t listen. He sexually assaulted me that night as I begged him to let me go and tried to fight him off repeatedly. The next day his excuse was that he didn’t realize it wasn’t what we “normally did”. This man is psychophysically fucked. This woman is a delusional enabler and their kid will turn out with loads of issues I’m sure. The people suggesting therapy are essentially siding with the man. Suggesting a “sex therapist” means delaying the woman’s wants and needs while buying time for some dead beat dad that watches furry porn instead of being there for his family. I did this once when I was in my early 20s and had just started dating as an adult. Well first of all it was AT NIGHT which made it creepy as hell. Second of all it was boring, awkward and quiet. Third of all, and this is the most important- he tried to get in my pants almost immediately! Sitting on the grass in a public park at night. Literally tried to un dress me and I had to tell him no multiple times.

I would leave him. He sounds possessive and bitter. You dated around before things were exclusive and you stopped seeing other people when things moved forward with him. But he’s still bringing it up as if you did something wrong?? How is he mad when that’s how dating works? He’s jealous that you have options and he doesn’t. The fact that he can’t let it go and brought it up again is concerning.

How is telling our honest true stories and experiences with the men we’ve encountered, “perpetuating stereotypes”? Damn we’re just trying to use our fucking voices. The reason women here comment “men are trash” is usually in response to a man doing something like raping or killing a woman. And just a reminder in the US one in four women are murdered by their male partners every single day so if there’s any patterns or “stereotypes” here it might be time for males to take a look in the fucking mi…

Just keep doing you! Unfortunately dating at that age can be really difficult because males your age are not mature and males older than you will creep and try and manipulate you. They wanna act like they’re oppressed by their wives who take care of their household and children when they are the ones who have the most to gain from marriage to begin with. Thank you for continuing to pursue your dream, despite the sexism and abuse you face. Some women discourage other women from entering the field because of its toxicity, but women like you are paving the way for future generations of young girls who want to pursue media. Men will never know what it’s like to be a woman in the dating world. If all of the dudes on those sub Reddits turned into women over night they would be DISGUSTED with how they’re treated. They don’t know what it’s like to date men, they have zero empathizing skills, and zero self awareness. Therefore they cannot fathom this sub.

Wear whatever you want as long as it’s appropriate for the occasion. And be clean. I don’t think there’s any need to have to dress up, have your nails done, or put on makeup to go to class for example. Just go about your day and don’t feel like you have to live up to beauty standards that will always be unobtainable anyways.

I think this refers to things like: -Changing the place of the date last minute -Mentioning exes/other woman in order to get a rise out of you purposely/make you jealous -Backhanded compliments I guess playing games refers to basic manipulation tactics because he does it for his own benefit and fun. I would say the guy in your scenario was trying to get you to chase him because he’s lazy and wants an ego boost. Idk if that’s manipulative but it’s stupid and narcissistic.

This is the same in my grad school classes, where 90% of us are women- the men are the FIRST to speak out-not waiting or raising their hand like the rest of us. On top of that, when they start to speak they don’t stop, the monologue about obvious bullshit we already know. And they interrupt, even the professors. Ugh this also goes for texting. I’m not going to answer a text that doesn’t have a follow up. They act like celebrities and we’re E news lol no! If you can’t ask a question back or even say “what about you?” After one of my questions then I’m assuming you don’t want to chat. When I used to be on OLD, I remember one guy and I were chatting but he was so boring and every convo ended abruptly. But he kept waiting a bit then sending a new “hey” and every time I gave him the benefit of the doubt the …

Good on you. I don’t think any woman should drink when dating until you REALLY know the person. Once I quit drinking, the men weren’t funny or attractive like they used to be. So I quit dating too. If I have to be intoxicated by a substance to find you halfway decent then it’s a no from me.

One of the dads at my high school was a yearly chaperone at our religious retreats and he had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a teenager on one of them years before I was a student. The dad of the girl forgave the man and they “settled” things without reporting him. He continued to go on these retreats while I was a student there. I never knew until years later.

You’re so right. When things get tough- they will do anything to avoid it. Not going to the doctors to avoid their own health problems, drinking to avoid their own thoughts, staying at work late to avoid their families, quitting their jobs and relationships to avoid changing problematic behavior, etc. they are cowards for the most part. And I’m convinced they will always be the weaker sex because of their inability to be emotionally intelligent.

Yeah especially if they go to a male therapist. Couples therapy will never work for a man who is abusive. He will not change because in couples therapy he isn’t even being himself, he’s putting on an act. The best case scenario for those women is to leave (if they are able to) and never look back. He needs therapy by himself and if he’s abusive- clearly talking about love languages isn’t going to help.

Isn’t it funny how men don’t care about how women are portrayed and exploited in porn but when they think it portrays them in an “unrealistic” way (by lasting longer than they can) they suddenly care. Maybe we should just shame them into being against porn by saying they can’t last long. They literally can’t understand things from anyone else’s perspective until it happens to them 🤷🏼‍♀️

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/02/20 04:51 PM

This is one of the main reasons I refuse to have children. A lot of dads don’t see it as their baby. They barely contributed so it makes it easier for them to duck out when things get tough. It could be YEARS before dads actually even like their kids.

And what happens when the kids aren’t newborns anymore but he still expects you to be the “on call” parent 100% of the time? This sets the entire tone for the parenting duties.

Right? How come women manage this day in and day out but this woman’s husband hallucinates when he has to get up to take care of his kid? Nah.

Notice how they all point to their husbands sleep being more important than their own. I’m sorry but I will need sleep too if I’m caring for screaming babies, cleaning, cooking, driving to doctors apps- this is just plain entitlement and so sad the way these women act like their sleep isn’t as important because they don’t drive to work and sit at a computer all day.

This. A thousand times this. I know I’m good in bed, I’ve had men tell me I’m the best sex of their lives. However, men are so boring in bed. Either they lay there and do nothing or want to basically attack you in a subconscious rage, strangling, slapping, and shutting you up while trying to shove it in the ass.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/02/20 04:25 PM

Even if they did have kids- they didn’t carry the baby? Their bodies don’t need to recover? They aren’t doing the majority of childcare, household management, emotional labor, and working while getting only 4 weeks off from work after having the baby- IF that. Men don’t have an excuse? Half of them look pregnant from beer bellies maybe we should tell them they look more like they have mom bods than dad bods.

There have even been studies about how men are more likely to approach blondes because they believe they’re “easy”. And maintaining dark hair is no where near as costly or damaging. I’m a natural blonde and wore it platinum for a long time. Unfortunately, I got even more un wanted attention from men than I did before. Reminding him of his obligations. You do not have to keep a mental checklist of everything he needs to do. If he forgets to make his car payment then he’s going to learn to write it down next time rather than if you remind him again and again. It only enables him and puts you in a position to do emotional labor just because you’re better at remembering or making check lists than he is.

They want comfort. They’re long term girlfriend will still take care of him, cater to his needs, and fuck him. He is taken care of with her and knows he would be shit without her. But he still waits for his one true love by scouting out other women until he finds someone he thinks is better. To them having a girlfriend is like having a job. Exactly. A man straight up mentioning he is in therapy is more respectable than a man refusing to go, like a child who doesn’t want their shots. Even worse than a child refusing to get shots, the man knows he is broken, unable to communicate, emotionally un intelligent- he knows he needs therapy to improve and he still won’t. Exactly. Women end up internalizing everything we’ve experienced because we aren’t allowed to properly show emotions like rage and we’re meant to keep everything bottled up, leading to so many physical health problems. I personally don’t believe in marriage. It’s a cultural construct that started as a business transaction between families. The woman is treated like property being sold. At the altar they congratulate man and “wife”. You’re not recognized as a woman, but a wife is now your identity. For some people that marry non traditionally it works out but once you have kids, your identity is shrunken down even more. While your husband is able to make more money than you will and you’re forced to stay with t…

I think gender is definitely on a spectrum and there’s no way all the males are 100% straight. But they’re so scared of anything feminine (apparently homosexual men = being a woman) that they repress it so much then they start saying things like “holding a diaper bag is gay, drinking a pink drink is gay, wiping my own ass is gay” and so on. Way more women seem to be comfortable on the spectrum of sexuality considering there are so many of us who identify as bisexual or pansexual.

Dudes use tinder for trying to get laid. In their eyes they don’t see anything wrong with that but they will also look down on you, as a woman, for it and assume you’re just trying to get laid as well. In reality, men use multiple apps at once and use ones like hinge and bumble to find “long term relationships”. I’m concerned at how eager males are to share pictures of their noodle to women who couldn’t care less. I think the thought of sending it and imagining our reaction makes them harder than porn.

“No hard feelings”. Like... no hard feelings from him to you?? Why would he feel he had the right to have hard feelings against you for saying no to sending nudes?? I’ve had guys do this to me in similar situations. Me: “Sorry I’m not coming over because you’re a stranger and that’s not safe.” Him: “Ok I get it don’t worry I’m not mad.” Like what is this manipulation why WOULD you be?

Focus on yourself and think about your long term goals and whether a man will help you accomplish them or make it harder to accomplish. It’s easy to get distracted when men you left behind days, weeks, months, or years ago creep back into your life as soon as you’re doing better. But my best advice is don’t entertain them. Just ghost them. Ignore them. Because it will feel good to have the power back for a little bit and have the attention, but in the long run they’re just a distraction and ther…

There is well documented evidence that people associate cats with femininity and dogs with masculinity. I read on another thread how cats have more negative connotations than dogs. Dogs are “mans best friend” while women are “crazy cat ladies”. Dogs are loyal and fun loving while cats are mean and sassy. When a cat dies in a movie- it’s funny- when a dog dies- everyone cries. Cat hating is way more acceptable than dog hating. There are so many examples of this it’s crazy. I’ve even seen kids toy…

Yeah it’s a very complicated disorder and there’s not even a gold standard of treatment in terms of psychotropic medications. I just think it’s important not to exclude groups of people who may benefit from this sub that may also suffer from BPD (since more women are diagnosed and this is a women’s sub). You’re right- manipulation is never okay- not from anyone and I would never encourage someone to stay in a manipulative relationship regardless of a diagnosis.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/12/19 07:39 PM
2

Exactly. This guy obviously should be spending more time seeking help rather than wasting time putting women through his bull. But yeah BPD also presents diff in women and men. Women more often internalize their symptoms rather than externalize their symptoms like anger. Which is why I think it’s important to make the distinction between the behaviors and the diagnosis itself. But I totally agree with what you’re saying.

I keep seeing this “stay away from Cluster B Pds” but I’ve known many people with BPD from my work in clinical psych and most of them were incredibly sad and broken people. And most of them were women. Seeing so many women telling other women to stay away from people with cluster Bs divides us more than it brings us together. Men are more likely to be diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder (psyopaths) but I think we should make the distinction between different cluster B disorders.

Then he decides he wants custody years after you have built a stable life. I see it all the time on r/legaladvice. Men who didn’t care at all about the custody of their child when they were a baby, but now that they have nothing else to do they decide they want to take the mother and children to court and rip apart the little stability they have left. Then they blame it on the evil mother for getting custody in the first place!

I feel sorry for them too. Most of us have been those women. Because we started out innocent enough believing men wouldn’t hurt us. It’s sad that they’re still in the internalized misogyny phase because it must be a lonely life. Not fully trusting men or women. They’re seriously the most lonely women out there, not actual single women.

One time I came across a micro penis (literally shorter than my pinky finger). Tbh it was our first date at his place (I was reallllly ignorant at this point- long before FDS) and I left when he pulled it out. Mostly because I was just in shock. I wasn’t expecting it at all. In my mind if I couldn’t even feel it inside me I didn’t want to. I felt bad about leaving but I didn’t know what else to do.

Also: “I just want a chill girl” Translation: I want a full grown woman to be “chill” almost like she’s high on weed and Xanax all of the time. No back talking, will laugh at anything I say, doesn’t set boundaries, and does everything I want her to do. She must be relaxed 100% of the time and never be mad at me even when I cheat. I agree completely. As someone who struggles with mental illness and addiction- he will never change until he WANTS to change. I hate therapy but eventually forced myself to agree to DBT. It’s a process and a long one. You have to want to get better or else there’s no point. And this guy doesn’t seem he is at the point where he wants to get better. Until he actually loses everything around him he won’t change. As long as OP stays with him his behavior is reinforced.

Not to mention the influence of media. In movies and tv men are constantly being praised for treating women like objects. Women are shown as one dimensional arm candy to the mans life and his career. In movies and television women are outnumber by men all of the time, including children’s media. They learn to believe the world revolves around them and that women are just side characters. Men in movies are reinforced to make jokes about women every chance possible. And we’re objectified in almost…

In the podcast one of the women who worked at the community center talked about how josh brought the boys (this was after he had murdered Susan and hid her body) and never looked after them. I was raised Catholic. And it was strict (went to mass twice a week, stations of the cross, all the sacraments, etc.). The entire religion is based off the idea that we were only made to compliment a man and that we are the cause of evil, sin, and the downfall of humanity. So although I still believe in a higher power and would look for the same (I’m not looking lol) I would stay away from religions that lean too far one way or the other.

”I politely as possible told my wife I no longer found her attractive and in part due to her weight gain. Our last kid was born 10 years ago, that is plenty of time to get back in shape. She really just takes me, and our marriage, for granted, and on top of that would be more attractive if she loved herself more. But she constantly complains about her weight and appearance, her overeating and poor meal choices, and blames me to an extent, as I do most of the cooking (and I accommodate her fad di…

People calling their wives bait and switch for being too stressed taking care of them and their kids. And then op said that sex is implied in marriage and women need to expect that. Time to throw all men in the trash lol

Wow that’s fucking creepy, good for you for speaking up though! It sucks that we have so few spaces on reddit that isn’t over run with males (i can’t even call them men because most don’t even seem like adults or they’re still in their teens). They just have to insert themselves everywhere they know they can get away with it. They aren’t trying to learn about how to better themselves for women, and most of the time if you look at the poster it’s someone who has made sexist comments before.

The problem with r/askwomen is that it’s 90% boys who get off on asking questions like “what are you thinking about when you give head?” Or “am I bad for only being attracted to 10s?” It feels like a bunch a little kids trying to get their dicks hard whereas the women answering the questions are full grown adults who are answering genuinely. Most of the questions on that subreddit aren’t worth our time.

Ignore him. Or like/heart the message he sent lol He is a jerk and he knows it. If he only wants to appreciate you when it’s convenient for him then he is in no way in a position to date.

Lol right? The negging is weird af to me. Their brains: “I downloaded this app to entice women to me and I can’t write anything I want... what should I put in my bio? Should I include something about my career, passions, hobbies? Something funny and quirky? Something about why I’m an awesome catch? A conversation starter or icebreaker question? NOPE! I think I’ll go with “fuck you and your hobbies and living your best life” Later on: Why doesn’t anyone want to suck my dick on my lunch break? 😒

Most of the tests we use to get into college and higher education programs are multiple choice, which men score better on (women score better on open-ended questions). So they don’t have any excuses lol http://www.aera.net/Newsroom/Recent-AERA-Research/The-Relationship-Between-Test-Item-Format-and-Gender-Achievement-Gaps-on-Math-and-ELA-Tests-in-Fourth-and-Eighth-Grades

No problem! And I was in between cities at the time so I got it so that I could browse people from one place while I was in another but other than that i don’t really see the point. Plus it became overwhelming, I would have thousands of likes and swipe right on almost none of them (enter exhibit A).

It’s not cute ten years down the road when they don’t know how to change a diaper, cook a meal, or do basic chores. It gets tiring when you have to be his mother...

I gave up drinking 3 months ago. There wasn’t one particular reason, but the most important one was whenever I drank I put myself in situations where people were more likely to take advantage of me, and they did. I surrounded myself with people who were opportunistic in their predatory ways. Even when I wasn’t getting drunk beyond belief and just drinking before and during social events, like dates, by the end of the night it’s way too easy for a guy when alcohol is involved. Especially when a d…

And the men who get the most worked up about false accusations that almost never happen are probably the same ones who have take advantage of women in some way or another before and realize they could someday be held accountable for their actions.

My favorite is when you match w someone on a dating app and their first message is asking to hangout that day/night. In my experience those guys usually want to make plans as quickly as possible before you catch on that their personalities suck. Why would I want a stranger coming into my apartment and free loading off my time energy and space. And then they have the audacity to get mad about it. Like damn just trying not to get used or raped/murdered.

A guy who I met a few years ago (we went on two dates) got into a relationship with someone else. He’s still in a relationship with her and messages me all the time how he misses fucking me (eye roll). I asked him why he doesn’t just have an open relationship if he can’t keep it in his pants and he said because he would be too jealous of his girlfriend being with other men. The hypocrisy.
