Omg... One time a guy took me to Sonic, except I had to drive because his truck was acting up, and then when we got there he didn't have enough money for 2 meals so I ended up buying him his food. Wtf. Yeah that didn't go anywhere after that.

I feel so ashamed now, because I once went to the usa to spend time with my boyfriend ( he’s american), after our date he asked me where I wanted to eat and I said “taco bell” he then looked at me as if I said something weird before laughing and telling me “ babe what kind of boyfriend do you think I am, if I take you to Taco Bell???!!” He actually thought I was joking 😐. I only wanted to try Taco Bell because we don’t have that in my country 😂 and since I always heard about it I thought that it must be awesome for a first date. Now I understand why he told me in a funny way that I offended him by asking him to treat me there. However we went to a good restaurant, and we then bought some tacos that we took home. I didn’t knew that he refused to take me there because it was a cheap place lmao.

Or even worse - the Del Taco date while you watch Netflix and they try to feel you up, then they fall asleep and you have to just sit there uncomfortably because they refuse to wake up and take you home.

I will never date a gamer again. It’s okay to play it for recreation in moderation but when you spend most of your day on your ass with your headphones in and expect your girlfriend to just sit there and watch you? When you do that instead of getting a job? (Which a growing number of young men are guilty of these days) And then when you complain about it other men say “Just learn to play too so you can both have fun!” Why should I be the one to take up a new hobby I have no interest in just to suit him when he wouldn’t do the same with my interests? Drives me nuts. Never again.

Fast food chains stop being acceptable for dates past the age of 16, chains in general stop being acceptable after uni. Do your research and find a cute bar or restaurant and call ahead to book a table, bonus points for saying it’s a special occasion and asking for a cosy spot.

The dream is to be taken out to 21above in LA and get treated to a 3 course meal and gorgeous views.

One of my exes thought Burger King was OK to feed me... my own mom wouldn’t even feed me that. I wanted Japanese food, it only costed $14, but apparently that was too much..
