I’ve decided I need to end my LTR after close to 10 years and I’m just looking for feedback from on a few different things. Things to know is we aren’t married, there’s no kids, we don’t have shared accounts (lease is in his name, seperate banking accounts, separate cell phone plans) and we live together. Also this isn’t a “ur awful to me I’m leaving” this is a “love isn’t always enough, we want different things, and I can’t keep waiting for ‘the right time’ ”

  1. Timing: The time of year for this revelation to occur couldn’t be worse. My initial thought was waiting until after Christmas times but before New Years and now I’m not so sure. He comes home tomorrow night from a business trip so it’d have to be either Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Which time is less shittier than the other?

  2. Delivery: god this is the hardest part. How do I even say this? I want to try and be a grownup there’s no need to get shitty if I don’t have to. How should I go about saying this? Because we’re gonna have to live together for probably roughly two weeks until I move out we have a spare bedroom I intend to sleep in in the mean time.

Do you guys have any tips for do’s and donts based on ur experiences?

TLDR: LTR ending going to break up with my bf should I wait before or after Christmas and how should I say it without getting shitty about it.
