I dont know where you are from, but I live in South Africa (Cape Town) and I will not mince my words - african culture is by it's very nature exceptionally patriarchal and misogynistic. So my experience of black men, is that they take that misogyny BS to a whole other level of fuckery. Polygamy, law had to be changed to enable a girl child to inherit (like, in the last 10 years), its custom to kneel when serving your husband his meal etc...Girl, its bedlam. The juxtaposition between modern empowerment and traditional disenfranchisement in my part of the world is nuts.
